Spawned in the North-West of England, Paul M Clark now lives in Auckland, New Zealand.

He is a graduate from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop in the USA, and is currently completing a PhD in Folk Horror at Massey University.

Paul spent 20 years as a historian, teaching at various schools and universities in the UK and North America.

He has published short stories and flash fiction pieces in various journals and anthologies, and has been placed in a several competitions worldwide. His TV pilot episode was a finalist in the Southern California Screenplay Competition in 2019.

Paul writes speculative and historical fiction, often with dark themes. He is represented by High Spot Literary Agents.
