And the more one runs away, the worse it gets. We’re all hard-wired this way.
Face the fear and acknowledge that some days your writing will flow and other days it will stagnate and be terrible. One cannot wait for ideal creative situations — just write every day, read every day, and grow every day.
If you face a brick wall, don’t fight it. Work on something else for a while.

But the number one tip — and please share this secret widely — is regular exercise. The creative problem solving boost from exercise is something I recently reviewed in a blog post, Exercise Your Creativity. Whether group or solo, exercise drains negative emotions and reveals solutions. Immersion in a natural environment is an added bonus.

Nanda Devi: Mountain, Mythology and Tragedy

In the previous newsletter I briefly explored why mountains capture our imagination and touched upon some of the mythology and religious significance of these vertical environs.  In this edition I’ll delve into one mountain steeped in the Hindu pantheon: Nanda Devi.

Located in the Garhwal range in the Himalaya, Nanda Devi is India’s highest peak and, at 25,643 feet (7816 m), is the world’s 23rd tal

Pre-Read Notes:

This concept sounded so wild, that I asked NetGalley to send me a copy. It's an Indie and style-wise I don't always get along with those. When I request them, it's because the concept is a real win for me. I want to be squarely in" Read more of this review »
