JL Burns is a wife-husband writing duo with, coincidentally, the same initials. Jenna started her writing career as a semi-popular fan fiction author while working full-time. Joshua loved creating scenarios for random characters from popular shows, books, and mythology, but could never get them down on paper. With their powers combined, they started building entire worlds of their own and fully intend to explore a variety of genres.
Jenn and Josh live in East Tennessee with their teenage daughter, an art and animation enthusiast, and a friendly ghost named Richard, who sucks at playing Spades. When they’re not writing, they can be found at the local walking trail, enjoying the random Tennessee weather and sneezing their heads off.

Lucifer was "in" at the moment, so they just asked for a Lucifer romance with demons and such. We are massive history and mythology nerds but were still relatively new to writing as a business, so we tried to stay within the tropes they wanted, but it just wasn't good enough for the editor we were assigned. After the project was ultimately canceled, our good friend L.A. helped us buy the rights back, and luckily for us, the beta readers loved everything the editor thought we did wrong. Big bad Lucifer running a bakery in Boston? Who knew!(less)
