Delve into a little unknown Australian history...

It’s 1825 on the Hunter River in a small place called Wallis Plains. Large parcels of land have been granted to the wealthy and retired, who have been assigned convicts to work that land. Vicars Jacob is one such man. Retired from the East India Company he’s been granted two thousand acres on the Hunter River and assigned twenty convicts. One of his convicts, Patrick Riley, lost four of his sheep and was sentenced to receive fifty lashes. On the way to Newcastle, he escapes and returns to Jacob’s property. Lawrie Clearly and Aaron Price join him and they terrorise Jacob’s Overseer before stealing food and going bush. More absconded convicts join them and they soon become known as Jacob’s Mob.
