I used my real experiences as a special ops sergeant in the Air Force as a backdrop. It's a second chance romance. I am currently working on a "spinoff," another second chance romance that has a few scenes with one of the main characters in the novel mentioned above. (less)

When I find myself shaking my head as someone remembers an incredulous experience, my mental pen begins to write. I infuse these nuggets of truth into a tale, weaving real experiences into a blanket of fiction. (less)

Almost press time

The path to my upcoming release has been a rocky one. It's a novel close to my heart, a second chance romance. Air Force special ops style.

Unlike Porch Music, which is by design a challenging read, my next release has only one point-of-view. The new one is a dual timeline story, but it is easy to read. Well, that's my opinion.

So many edits, so many proofs. This one will be self-published. A whole Read more of this blog post »

I raced through this book in three days, the way I normally do with a Diane Chamberlain book. I had to know the outcome. Believable characters in the toughest situations. Absolutely excellent!

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”
Mother Teresa

Francis of Assisi
“O Divine Master, grant that
I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
Not so much to be understood as
To understand; not so much to be
Loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned”
Saint Francis of Assisi

Matthew Quick
“As I strode home I knew I didn’t need another second to decide anything. I would never align myself with a politician who could label a teenaged boy—with whom she’d never exchanged a word—a psychopath. My answer was a unanimous no. A billion times no.”
Matthew Quick, We Are the Light

“Let the church take care of the poor. That’s what John’s tithe was for, wasn’t it?”
Gina Renee Freitag, Painted Vessels

Gina Renee Freitag
“But faith is a hope in things you can’t see. The trials God allows in our lives can cause us to grow and mature. Trials reveal the genuineness of our faith.”
