Review of UNWITTING SACRIFICE by Author Margaret L. Carter

UNWITTING SACRIFICE, by Sapphire Phelan. This is the only Lovecraftian romance I've read other than my own novelette "Tentacles of Love."
Unlike my humorous-toned story, though, Sapphire Phelan's novella is a harrowingly serious horror-romance crossover.
Her plight reminds me of ROSEMARY'S BABY, in that all the people around her, no matter how kindly they behave, are in on the secret and conspiring to make her the mother of an inhuman child. When Lisa finally awakens to the truth, will she succumb to her would-be mate's seduction or manage to escape?

Night Owl Romance Gave Shifting Desires Reviewer's Top

Night Owl Romance gave the erotic feline shapeshifter romance anthology, Shifting Desires 5 out of 5 hearts and a Reviewer's Top Pick!

What reviewer Sherylyn Lexxi said about the three stories in Shifting Desires, including mine, Beast Magic:

"Purr For Me - This is a wonderful story and she had me believing it was real all the way up until it was a dream, or was it? I would definitely like this author to stay in this genre and write more. I love stories about the shape shifters, be they lions, panthers, werewolves, etc. My favorites are the panthers though. I love those panthers, especially black panthers.

Beast Magic - Can Ramses and Shana find happiness in Africa together? Will they finally be happy now that they have each found their other half? You will have to read to find out. I can't wait to read more from this author. A definite keeper.

Cat's Claw - Can Morgan and Joshua find happiness now that they have finally found someone that they can be themselves with? Will Morgan come to realize truly that she really can turn into a cougar and it is not just a dream or nightmare? What will Joshua's father's role turn out to be in bringing them together? You will have to read it to find out. I loved this, definite keeper."

Being Familiar With a Witch's Review by Bitten By Books

Bitten By Books reviewed Being Familiar With a Witch, giving it 4 tombstones.
What reviewer said:
Overall, the story had some interesting points, such as Charun having to keep himself entertained while he waits for Tina to be born. The love story is sweet and romantic and the sexual tension is spicy and hot. I thought the introduction of Armageddon if she does not release her powers to be an unusual element in the paranormal genre. Being Familiar with a Witch is a fun and exciting novel that has a great spin on demons and witches. If you like reading demon romances, then this is a book to add to your TBR pile.

Super New Review for Being Familiar With a Witch

I am excited as there's a new review for Being Familiar With a Witch, earning it four diamonds. This one is by Got Erotic Romance.
Here's a part of the reviewer said:

I liked this book more and more as it went along. At the beginning, with our ex-incubus hero trying to keep himself pure for his yet to be born witch, the book almost lost me. But once past that very early point, the story picks up and the characters gain dimension. The lovemaking scenes are well-written and the chemistry between the Tina and Charun exciting.

Unwitting Sacrifice Got 4 Out of 5 in Review

I got a review for Unwitting Sacrifice by Erotica and Romance Books Examiner, with 4 out of 5.

Some of what reviewer said:
This was a crazy short read, with elements of H.P. Lovecraft and erotica blended together, very well. This reviewer was intrigued from the blurb and the story did not disappoint. From the opening line to the end, the author set up the feeling of terror to the point that one almost forgets this is a love story of sorts, albeit a twisted one.

From the imagery described to the horror of what Lisa finds out, this book is an excellent read. Do not let this one pass you by.

Another Super Review for Ain't Nothin' Like Succubus Lovin'

I have a new review for Ain't Nothin' Like Succubus Lovin' at eBookAddict Reviews.
Some of what the reviewer said:
For the most part Ain’t Nothin’ Like Succubus Lovin’ is lighthearted; for the most part. It is also highly entertaining. I have to admit that I was expecting quite a different kind of story, but Sapphire Phelan wowed me. And with her ability to create a whole and complete story in less than 23 pages is stellar.

Two New Super Reviews for Ain't Nothin' Like Succubus Lovin'

My little erotic paranormal romance short, Ain't Nothin' Like Succubus Lovin'
got two reviews in today. One from Night Owl Reviews and the other Romance
Studio.

Night Owl Reviews has reviewed Ain't Nothin' Like Succubus Lovin', giving it
4.75 Stars and called it a Reviewer Top Pick!

Some of what the reviewer said:

Sapphire Phelan shows us that a Succubus isn't all-bad and that they can be good
and loving. Do you like your books hot and sexy??? If so this quick read is one
that will get your motor roaring.

Ain't Nothing' Like Succubus Lovin' is a fun tale of a guy that hasn't had any
luck with the ladies and summons a succubus to help him with that luck. The
Succubus he summons happens to be one that hasn't had any luck in years
herself.Read the rest of the review at:

The Romance Studio gave Ain't Nothin' Like Succubus Lovin' 4 hearts.

Some of what the reviewer said:

Sapphire Phelan's story has layers of humor that combine well with the erotic
tale of a demon and the mortal who wants her. Jordan and Annie -- or Elianta as
she prefers to be called -- are winning characters whose feelings for each other
surpass what one would expect from a soul-sucking demon and a guy who was
looking for a hot one night stand. Instead, the reader is drawn into the
possibilities of the relationship. The story is fast-paced and the secondary
characters well developed for such a short story. Ms. Phelan's devil in
particular is a very original interpretation of the archetype.

I smiled the entire time I read this book. While the erotic element is strong
and the chemistry between the characters is undeniable, there is a generous
sprinkling of quirkiness that appealed to me from the start. This short will not
disappoint any of Sapphire Phelan's fans.
