The Final Book in Cosy Mystery Series is Released!

WOW. Four years ago when I began the St. Ives Book Club Mystery Series with Advertisement for Murder, it was a fun project that kept me busy while I was submitting my Young Adult manuscript to agents and publishers. Amateur sleuthing in small town Ontario was supposed to be a little side gig while I got on with my real writing.

The medium is the message.

I bought this book in the summer of 2024 from the author, Sean Silcoff, at a Writers Day in my small town. It's one of those things you do, never intending to read the book. I saw the movie and really enjoyed it. I was book-

“Sara wasn't spooked by death, never had been. Dead bodies were reassuring once you got used to them. The body of her mother for instance--so unlike her mother in every way that all she felt about it was curiosity. Flesh became rubber. It wasn't just lifeless--a word that suggests limp or inanimate. It was beyond lifeless. To understand the power of the soul you have to see its absence. Bodies didn't bother her any more than a plant would.”
