Dan Ashmore grew up in Dublin, Ireland. His first introduction to markets came while at university, when he launched an arbitrage trading strategy in the sports betting markets, exploiting price discrepancies across European betting exchanges and bookmakers.

Part of the younger Irish generation shaped by the 2008 banking crisis and subsequent IMF-led bailout, Dan entered Bitcoin and digital assets market in 2016, first via the same arbitrage trading approach he took in sports betting.

Today, he heads up investment research at a digital assets hedge fund. He also runs a family office investing widely across the digital assets space and beyond.

He has appeared on CNBC and his work has featured on Bloomberg and the Financial Times. He published ...more
