My debut novel out June 17th!
I have been published many times in newspapers and magazines. Writing articles and opinion pieces that are read by many, many thousands of people has never worried me. I've never been nervous about how they would be received or feared judgment.
Then I wrote my first work of fiction.
Let me tell you, I am a mess. Sharing my first novel with the world terrifies me. There is something intensely personal about laying bare your own imagination. I dreamed up every sentence in my book and if someone hates it, well, it feels far more painful than someone arguing with an article on politics.
I have had two wonderful reviews so far and they warmed my heart through and through. I hope that readers continue to enjoy Giovanna.
