Aileen was born in Merton, Surrey, England, lived in Canada and the United States and traveled extensively before choosing Tortola as her home more than 25 years ago. She was a deeply private and passionate person who was blessed with a massively enquiring mind and a great joy of life. She saw beauty where others don't and championed the causes of the under-privileged and unrepresented everywhere.
