Greg Enslen is an Ohio author of twenty-seven books, including four books in the “Frank Harper Mysteries” series and three other novels. When I do run into a story problem I can't solve, I usually turn to free writing--or, more accurately, free typing. I just start typing about the problem, trying to sum up my issues and what I'm looking to solve. After that I start brainstorming possible solutions and expand on them, no matter how out there they may seem. After a day or two (or a week), I usually find an answer.(less)
