Rebecca Mildren grew up on the misty Washington State coast, attending school in Astoria, Oregon. After graduating from Interlochen Arts Academy and majoring in dance performance at Southern Methodist University, she lived abroad for 19 years, where her adventures included working for an EU business lobbying NGO and as a translator (Russian and Hebrew).
