H. Truax is a Louisiana-based author and entrepreneur whose work combines Southern atmosphere, compelling characters, and suspenseful storytelling. Alongside co-author L. Craig, he created The October Girls Mysteries, a series that explores friendship, loyalty, and the secrets that can turn an ordinary vacation into a deadly investigation.

Drawing inspiration from life along the Gulf Coast, Truax’s fiction reflects his love of mystery, psychological suspense, and richly drawn Southern settings. His writing is influenced by both classic whodunits and contemporary thrillers, blending amateur sleuths, unexpected twists, and emotionally driven narratives.

In addition to writing, Truax owns and operates small businesses in Louisiana.
