Dianna Hardy is an international bestselling author of (cross-genre) fantasy fiction, most notable for her dark paranormal fantasy and the raw, intense Eye of the Storm series. But her heart-warming Once Times Thrice series proves she thrives in the light as much as the dark. Whatever your poison, what she loves most is to bring you stories that are action-packed, fast-paced and not short of heat, with the focus on character development, relationship dynamics, and the plot. She writes full-length novels and short fiction.

Although quite active online, Dianna prefers the quiet company of nature and animals to the hustle and bustle of people. She loves anything paranormal (she doesn't really consider it "para"), organic food, walking barefoot

Thanks for your question. I guess it depends on what themes you're into when you read? If you like dark urban fantasy then try either The Witching Pen series (which has witches, magic, fallen angels, demons and more in it - https://www.diannahardy.com/the-witch...), or you can try the Eye of the Storm series if you're into werewolves (start with book one, Releasing The Wolf - https://www.diannahardy.com/eye-of-th...). Both first books - The Witching Pen and Releasing The Wolf - are FREE to download on mosts platforms so those are a good place to start.

If you're more into lighter contemporary romance (with a bit of magic thrown in), then you can get the first book of my Once Times Thrice for free if you sign up to my newsletter: https://www.diannahardy.com/free-read... It can be read as a standalone, and then you can decide if you'd like to continue with the other books in the series.(less)

Excerpt from Fathoms Deep

Dear Readers,

Below is a short excerpt of Fathoms Deep. I actually bit the bullet and created a Patreon page recently because I cannot get Substack to separate sections in the way I want for my subscribers, and it turns out you cannot control your settings in full unless you have a Substack account (and not everyone does). That’s no problem, Substack will just remain a free place for the Release Da

“A bond between souls is ancient - older than the planet.”
Dianna Hardy, The Witching Pen

“How we take it for granted – those trivial conversations; those mundane moments that we think hold no meaning. We never realise how much we rely on the ordinariness of everyday life. When love is gone – when our entire world is gone – only then do we understand those moments are what we live for.”
Dianna Hardy, Cry Of The Wolf

“I’ll never let go of you again,” she whispered. “I swear it.”
Dianna Hardy, The Demon Bride

“I’ll never let go of you again,” she whispered. “I swear it.”
Dianna Hardy, The Demon Bride

“We have choice,” she insisted. “This is it. We don’t get to choose our choices, Gwain, we just get to make the ones we’re given...”
Dianna Hardy, The Demon Bride

“You are old and grey,” she teased.

“And you’re never too immortal for a spanking,” he shot back...”
Dianna Hardy, The Demon Bride

“God damn it, don’t you do this. You have no idea how badly I want you right now. I’d love nothing more than to bury myself inside you, and feel you lose yourself around me as you scream my name; the very idea of fucking the woman I love, finally, after ten thousand years – of having you feel just what it is you mean to me – is so hard to bear I’m all but fallen at your feet. But I’ll be damned if it happens here of all places. I’m not going to screw you in Hell, Mary. I gave in and took your blood, and God knows you have the power to bring me to my knees, but when I love-fuck you, I want to do it in my home. So do you think you could humour me just a little longer?”

She gaped at him. “Did you just say, ‘love-fuck’?”
Dianna Hardy, The Demon Bride

“What am I to you?”

He brought his forehead to hers, staring into her, his eyes holding nothing but naked truth. “I’ve loved you for so long… You’re my downfall,” he whispered, his words breaking, “…and my fucking salvation.”

Thanks Carly :) 'Gift' is part of a range of stories I wrote when I was a teenager (I was 14 when I wrote that one), and I decided to publish them without editing them, so readers could see how writing develops. It's a free eBook, you can read all about it here - http://www.youngadult.diannahardy.com... xxx
