Hello, I'm Kay Iscah, author of Living Single on Minimum Wage. I'm currently working on the second edition of Living Single on Minimum Wage, possibly with a video series to accompany it. Have some other nonfiction subjects I'd like to get around to eventually.

I have a B.S. in Mass Comm, technically I'm the C.E.O and President of the mirco-corp Amoeba Ink (it's a 1 employee company with freelance contributors), and I manage as well as contribute to the Amoeba Ink Shop on Cafepress, Zazzle, and Printfection. I'm single, live with family (book explains when and why that's practical), and I'm helping raise my young nephew.

Ebay vs. Craigslist vs. Yardsale

I started to give a full backstory on this, but let's just say I've run a lot of yardsales, sold over craigslist, and sold a lot of ebay during and after the pandemic.  I did another post specifically for Yardsale Tips.

Generally I've found everyday items do best at yardsales.  The more specialized and niche the collectible, the less likely you are to find someone who wants it, much less appreciate

Lesser Evil by Timothy Zahn

This is the strongest book in the trilogy and does bring together most of the seemingly unrelated threads. For those of you who like me wondering if this fits well with C-canon (the original pre-Disney canon), yes, it does. There's some tiny inconsis ...more

One common criticism of this trilogy is that it's a bit dull, and that's fair. There's nothing wrong with the book, but it is a lot of political maneuvering with fairly dry battle scenes. At the same time, it's a solid book. I do think given how much ...more

As I'm still slogging my way through D.H Lawrence's "The Rainbow", Zahn's clear prose with mostly rational characters is a true breath of fresh air. That said I feel this novel leans a bit too heavily on having read other novels, and this gets partic ...more

This is the first one that really felt like horror as opposed to adventure with scary elements in it. The series doesn't quite get closure but also isn't really a cliffhanger... but I guess they went all in for the last book.

This one really felt like a missed opportunity. With a little tweaking it could have been a great bridge between earlier cloning technology and the Spaarti cylinders the Emperor keeps in his storeroom.

In fairness the book came out in 1998, and Lucas

I was slow reading this one because I distract easily, but I think it may be the tightest book in the series so far. I'm tempted to give it 5-stars but worry that may be overselling it. It's unlikely to be anyone's favorite book ever, but it is a sol ...more

It's such a pleasure having you for a friend. I am looking forward to reading your work!
Thank you for the ‘heads up’ about the quote – now I must find out how to remove it .

Best wishes to you.
