Stephen Gunn è lo pseudonimo di Stefano Di Marino.
Laureato in giurisprudenza, decide però di seguire la sua passione per la letteratura thriller, il noir metropolitano d'azione e l'horror.
Nel 1989 entra a far parte della redazione della rivista fantascientifica Urania. Nel 1993 inizia a lavorare come traduttore, sceneggiatore di fumetti, autore e consulente. Dal 2002 al 2007 è stato consulente sul thriller e l'avventura per la casa editrice Longanesi. Attualmente dedica tutta la sua attività alla scrittura creativa. Ha curato il volume Gli occhi dell'Hydra che nasce dalla collaborazione con scrittori e lettori del forum ufficiale dedicato ad Alan D. Altieri.
