PAYBACK: I am not generally a fan of the murder/mystery genre. However, a very close friend highly recommended this book. And all I can say is: WOW. I literally read it in one night - I could not put it down. From the fist chapter the author reaches out of the book and grabs your attention and does not let it go. Each chapter revealed a new snippet of info abut the characters and situation - like peeling an onion layer by layer - I had to keep reading to discover the next layer. The author's vivid physical descriptions of the characters and the village (a character itself) brought them jumping right off the page in living colour. Can't wait for more books of the "Sierra Mountain Village" series!
