Luke Barr has just published a wonderful book: Provence 1970. He is the great grand nephew of M. F. K. Fisher one of the most illustrious figures of modern American cooking. She was a friend of the other famous chefs: James Beard, Simone Beck, Julia Child, Richard Olney, and Judith Jones. The book is about one summer when all these luminaries met in the hills above the Cote d'Azur, to eat, cook, talk, write, and share their philosophy on life. A treat!
