Carol Preflatish lives in southern Indiana. She is the author of the two mystery series and a multi-award winning screenwriter, as well as publishing several romantic suspense novels, and two non-fiction books. When she's not writing, she loves to read, watch Indianapolis Colts football, and do just about anything outdoors.
An avid photographer, Carol has had many photos published in her local newspaper, as well as in "Golf Journal," the official publication of the United States Golf Association. A few little- known facts about Carol are that she's a licensed amateur radio operator, has a degree in Physical Education, and is a collector of golf balls, shot glasses, and coins.

This was a good book, not as good as Lights Out, the first book in the series, but still pretty good. I gave it 4 stars, but it was more like 3 1/2 stars. I do look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I read this in tandem with Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass #5). Whoever came up with reading them in tandem was brilliant. So far, I think this one is my favorite in the series.

The cover really drew my interest, then I saw all the posts on BookTok and had to buy it. It started out slow, but ramped up real fast. Very good book and dark romance spicy. Make sure you read the triggers before reading.
