Robin Donnelly was born in Pennsylvania, grew up in West Virginia and raised her sons in Ohio. She is a wife, military mom, and licensed nurse who has specialized in geriatric/hospice and home care nursing for over twenty years.

She graduated from Parma School of Practical Nursing in 1995 as class president and worked as a charge nurse until 2002 when her husband was involved in a motorcycle accident and required in-home care. It was this experience that prompted her to open her own non-medical home care company franchise in 2004. In 2010 and 2011 she was awarded The Golden 30 Award for best home care business in Lorain, Ohio for demonstrating world-class performance in an emerging business, consistent employee retention, and growing revenu

I wrote this the day after the election and wasn’t going to post it. But, I’ve decided I’m no longer going to keep my mouth shut about politics because this is a “business page” and I might lose a few book sales… so, here it is:

I honestly don’t know who to feel more sorry for… those semi-awakened people who voted for garbage, but are ashamed enough to hide any affiliation to it anywhere on their s

“Tell the truth, or someone will tell it for you.”
Stephanie Klein, Straight Up and Dirty

Howard Zinn
“TO BE HOPEFUL in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness.
What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places—and there are so many—where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.
And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.”
Howard Zinn

Cheryl Strayed
“Alone had always felt like an actual place to me, as if it weren’t a state of being, but rather a room where I could retreat to be who I really was.”
Cheryl Strayed, Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail
