Thanks for the friend invite! Your book A Tale of Red Riding: Rise Of The Werewolf Huntress has been taunting me. "Read me, read me Shera!!"
I like your way of thinking and the fact that you didn't give up on your idea. I'll finish this conversation in my message. =)
Nickcole... Here is the long answer if you really want to know. The idea came about several years ago. Not sure what the spark was, but it was way before everybody was doing the Grimms adaptations. I guess maybe when I was studying fairytale mythology and I didn't really like the idea that Red Riding had to be saved by a men to survive. What kind of message does that send to girls. Just wait for a boy to save you? Really? Anyway, I work in the film biz, so the first version I wrote was a live action TV pilot, which I pitched around Hollywood. Producers told me that people wouldn’t be interested in fairy tale adaptations. Yeah, as it turns out they were wrong across the board, but that was before Once Upon a Time and other shows like it. At one point, I was developing the story as an animated series with Jim Henson Studios, but the animation networks didn't feel that girls would be interested in an action series with a girl in the lead. Go figure that.
The novel came about largely out of my frustration with the movie business. I had a story I wanted to tell and I was going to just do it so I decided to write a novel. Now I am again speaking with film producers. We shall see where things go now, but I do have other film projects on the rise. See here if you care to know...

Hope this wasn't too long of an answer...
I am excited that you are excited. I do hope you enjoy to. Means a lot to me that you are taking the time! Thanks so much!
Thanks again for giving me a chance to read your book. I'm starting it tonight and I'm very excited. Just out of curiosity and your probably get this question A LOT , BUT . . . where did the idea come from?
