Andrea Pisac was born in Kutina (Croatia), 1975. She holds BA degrees in English and Croatian literatures and a PhD in anthropology (Goldsmiths College, London).

In 2001 her collection of short stories Absence won the award for the best debut book from the Croatian Student Union. In 2007 she published her second collection of short stories Until Death Do Us Part or I Kill You First. Her most recent novel Hacked Kiti (2013) was short-listed for the Croatia's best novel literary prize.
