Gretchen Maurer won a California Reading Association Eureka! Medal for Mary Tudor “Bloody Mary”. She is also the author of the middle-grade novel, Call Me Isis: Egyptian Goddess of Magic. Gretchen's writing has been published in Highlights for Children and Adventure Cyclist magazines, in Frances Mayes’ The Discovery of Poetry, and in A Cup of Comfort for Mothers to Be. She co-wrote the screenplay, ALMA, a 2007 short film that has won multiple awards. She lives in Northern California with her family. ...more
