Building Bonds + Safe Limits are a Runner-up in the Rainbow Book Awards! #gay #romance #lgbt #KOL
Yesterday really helped to boost my spirits. It's been a challenging year for me, even more so than usual since I returned from GRL, but when I get an acknowledgement from my peers for what I put so much time and emotional energy into, it's very uplifting. When I woke up, the Finalists had been announced, and that was exciting enough. Building Bonds in combination with Safe Limits (from the Kiss of Leather series) had already received an Honorable Mention, and to get into the finals was about as much as I could've hoped for. But last night, I found out (through the tagging efforts of the lovely Cody Kennedy/Aisling Mancy) that they'd made it onto the runner-up list, and that was amazing! I gotta admit, there are some real heavy-hitters and great books in the category I was entered into (Gay Erotic Romance), so this makes it even more of an honor for me personally.
And guess what else? Through the unbelievably tireless work of Elisa Rolle, who coordinates the entire contest on her own, over $14,000 was raised for various LGBT charities around the world. I'm hoping next year will be even better.
Anyway, if you'd like to see the full list of winners and honorable mentions, you can find them at Elisa's blog HERE
If you haven't checked out the Kiss of Leather series yet, you can find out more about it HERE. Right now, Book 1, Building Bonds, is on sale for only .99 cents.

Battling Hate With Actions of Love #LGBT #gay #POC #advocacy #nonprofit
I've been struggling with my feelings all week. For many reasons, I haven't been following the news in the aftermath of the election, and I only hesitantly dipped my toes back into social media yesterday. That's not because I wish to hide or ignore the ramifications that the election results could have on the rights and lives of myself, and people who are my dear friends and family, it's because I don't respond well to hate, fear, anger or hysteria. I've immersed myself and expressed myself from that standpoint too often in the past, and in recent years, I've chosen not to handle my life that way anymore. This post is how I choose to respond to what's going on all around us right now. Be there for those who your heart breaks for in any way you possibly can. If the mission of any of the following organizations resonates with you, click on their link, then please consider supporting them with your time or money:
1. The Trevor Project - Crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ youth.
2. Lambda Legal - A 501(c)(3) non-profit, is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV, through impact litigation, education and public policy work.
3. ACLU - American Civil Liberties Union - Longstanding, accredited non-profit that fights for all rights for all people. Incredible informational resource center with proactive ways to get involved in effecting true change.
4. GLAAD - Longstanding advocacy group and information center for the LGBTQ community.
5. It Gets Better Project - Mission: To communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth around the world that it gets better, and to create and inspire the changes needed to make it better for them.
6. Black Lives Matter - Mission: Idealogical and political intervention in a world where Black lives are systematically and intentionally targeted for demise. It is an affirmation of Black Folks' contributions to this society, our humanity, and our resilience in the face of deadly oppression.
7. Color of Change - Mission: Helps you do something real about injustice. We design campaigns powerful enough to end practices that unfairly hold Black people back, and champion solutions that move us all forward. Until justice is real.
8. CAIR - Council on American-Islamic Relations - CAIR's mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, to encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
9. LULAC - League of United Latin American Citizens - LULAC's mission is to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population of the United States.
Do some research, take the time to learn about the above and other organizations like them. Angry diatribes on social media or among those you know may seem to make you feel better, but what does it actually accomplish? Nothing. It only exacerbates the situation by creating an atmosphere of more hatred. That's the last thing we, and those around us who we wish to comfort, needs right now. Find a way to strongly voice your opinion through avenues that have the ability to facilitate real change. Use the love that I know all of you have inside. (((hugs)))

WIP Gaining Trust For Seductive Studs #gay #BDSM #romance #SedStuds
Hi Everyone! I'm in the middle of finishing up Gaining Trust (Kiss of Leather 5), so I thought I'd share a little unedited snippet from it. This is Chuck and Jordan's story *wink* Enjoy, then scroll down for the links to some more seductive studs! They stood still, silent, Chuck almost clinging to him as his fingers pressed into the flesh of Jordan’s back. Jordan continued to softly caress Chuck until he’d relaxed into Jordan’s arms. The cool January air was enough to highlight the heat between them, but not enough to chase them into the club. He mused that the comfort of touch would be a big part of building a strong connection between them. Works for me.“Mmm, I like the way we fit together.” Jordan kissed the top of Chuck’s head then lifted it so he could see into Chuck’s eyes as Chuck raised his too. “Do you still want to go inside?”Chuck nodded. “Sure. That is, if you do?”Let’s start here. “I’m asking you right now. I’ll go wherever you want, babe.”“Oh.” Conflicting emotions played across Chuck’s face as he furrowed his brow and bit his lip. “I’m a pretty easy guy to get along with, so really, if you’ve changed your mind, that’s totally fine.”“Do you want to go inside the club with me, Chuck? Have a drink, dance a little. Be together?”The expression Chuck radiated back at him was one of absolute fear. His eyes had widened again, his lips parted as if he was having trouble breathing. “Y-yes. I want all of those things.”
It wasn’t as specific as Jordan typically demanded from a sub, but in truth, they weren’t quite at that point yet anyway. He’d take it as a win that Chuck had stated a preference at all. Need to find out where all this shit comes from. When he’s my boy, I’ll revolve the fucking world around him. ****More seductive studs:

Honeymoon Their Way ~ Out Now With Exclusive Excerpt! @dreamspinners #gay #romance #RomCom #StatesofLove
Wow. The month of October was pretty much eaten alive by GRL, but I'm back, baby! And today’s the day: my first Dreamspinner story is out, and it’s a part of their States of Love collection. Honeymoon Their Way is also my first Rom Com, and since I have a few snarling plot bunnies snapping at my heels, I’m considering writing more stories in this genre. Be warned that no whips or chains were harmed in this story due to the fact that there is no kink! *gasp* But there are a lot of shenanigans which lead up to a sweet and sexy HEA for our lovers. Now let’s take a little pictorial tour through Chad and Raudel’s world, shall we?
When author LE Franks and I did our road trip to GRL, we made it a point to stop in South Lake Tahoe and Fallon, NV. Both of these locations play a big role in Chad and Raudel's story. Fallon, which is currently the location of the Top Gun training academy at Air Force Base Fallon, is a small, dusty town in the middle of Nevada. I’m sure there are many lovely people living there, and I hope they find a way out soon. However, this is where Chad and Raudel were born and raised, and they’ve figured out that their futures no longer lie in Fallon. But what about their futures together?
Our arrival in Fallon
Our hasty retreat from Fallon
Fallon's Top Gun claim to fame on the main drag through town.
I can picture Chad growing up somewhere in Fallon like this, with his mom's horse, Sassy, running around.
The bulk of the story takes place in South Lake Tahoe where Chad’s bridezilla of a sister is getting ready to be married. During the week-long festivities leading up to the nuptials, Chad plans to do everything he can to avoid running into his high school crush, Raudel, who’s in sister Lindsey’s wedding party, because of an incredibly embarrassing moment that occurred between the two of them way back when. But Lady Love has other plans for our boys, and despite the madcap chaos, they find their way to love amidst the backdrop of nutty family members, an evil chocolate fountain, and desperate, stolen moments together.
This place we drove past is perfect as the location of the Tux shop. It's within walking distance of the casinos where our boys seal the deal on their burgeoning love.
This is the view from the 'tux shop'. They alternate going from Harvey's
To Harrah's right across the street.
But they eventually end up here *grin*
Here's an exclusive excerpt from Honeymoon Their Way:
The next few minutes were taken up with Chad navigating them until they turned off the main drag. They landed in the practically empty parking lot of a building the size of some small islands in the South Pacific. An air-dancing tube clown wiggled and flapped from atop the two-story structure, the maniacal expression of the balloon’s circus character the stuff of young children’s nightmares. If the Party Planner Emporium didn’t have a chocolate fountain, no one would.Raudel pulled up close to the front entrance, then shut off the engine. For reasons Chad couldn’t name, the loss of the sound of the car, the motion, the feel of it beneath him made being alone with Raudel much more difficult. Almost as if the Honda had been a buffer between them.Fountain. No thinking. Stay on task. His mom had given him a lot of useful advice over the years that he’d largely ignored. But there was no time like the present to finally embrace it.Raudel angled his body toward Chad, his demeanor that of someone who was about to speak on an important subject.Nope. Chad hastily scrambled from the car. Don’t need to get into any chats about high school antics. He’d have to remain alert. Avoid any moments that might afford Raudel the chance to talk with him privately. The chirp of the car alarm was quickly followed by the sound of Raudel’s footsteps.Chad rushed into the store, then froze. Raudel halted next to him, similarly pasted to the floor. The woman behind the long glass showcase counter had jerked her head up at the noise of the door chime, her visage bizarre and frightening enough that Chad wondered if she was dressed in a Halloween costume.Except that it’s April.A thick white powder covered her skin, almost as if she’d woken up that morning and decided she should look like a geisha doll. The rest of her heavily made-up face appeared petrified. Her wide-eyed stare was only slightly less disturbing than her large, painted-on eyebrows, which were raised almost to her hairline. Her silver-streaked, black-helmet hair gave the impression that an F5 tornado wouldn’t dislodge even one strand, and some sort of pink, fur-like scarf was wrapped around her neck multiple times as if she were being strangled by a fuzzy boa constrictor. She still hadn’t said anything, and Chad was too petrified to speak.Raudel took one for the team. “Do you carry chocolate fountains?”Chad widened his eyes, his jaw going slack as she spoke without her lips moving.“Rent or buy?”Botox is not this woman’s friend.“Buy.” Raudel turned to him. “Right?”“Uh….” She wasn’t a train wreck. More of a fiery plane crash.“Chad?”“Huh? Oh! Yes. Buy.”She pointed to the rear of the building with one finger, its long, sharpened claw leading the charge.Raudel gave her a warm smile. “Thank you, ma’am.”Chad had to admit he was impressed. He was still trying to wipe what he was sure was a look of horror off his face. She didn’t react to Raudel’s smile but simply kept staring. Chad could sense the hatred pouring off her. He wasn’t sure whether it was because of her job at a crappy, run-down, cheap party place, or that she hated all of humanity because she’d worked the past fifty years at a crappy, run-down, cheap party place.A vision of his future flashed before his eyes. Only it was yogurt replacing the paper streamers and white folding chairs. “Oh God.”“Come on. Let’s see what they—Chad? Are you all right?”Chad jerked his head toward Raudel. “Do you think it’s too late?” He had to get a grip. He was only twenty-two, for chrissakes.Raudel furrowed his brow. “Your mom said not to worry about getting back until later.” He laughed, his beautiful eyes shining back at Chad. “Besides, we just left the house about thirty minutes ago.”Chad nodded, giving himself a mental shake. “Yeah. Silly me.”Raudel indicated for him to go ahead. “Shall we?”Chad forced himself to move forward even though his legs weren’t interested. They traversed the gaudy displays and hodgepodge aisles filled with old, sad silk flower arrangements, outdated karaoke machines that featured the use of cassette tapes, and other elements that boasted of parties from a bygone era. They halted when they reached a white lattice-board archway. Beyond it lay all the large shit the store couldn’t shove onto the expanse of dented metal racks. Everything from Greek-style columns to banquet table setups graced the fake turf that made up the rear of the warehouse. At one side was their Holy Grail—fountains. They were both drawn to them at the same time.Chad sucked in a sharp breath when he glanced at the first price tag. I’ll be working at the yogurt shop until I’m a hundred and seven to pay back Mom for this. Primarily due to the fact that five dollars a week was the amount of his disposable income. He shuffled over to a less gargantuan and ornate one.“Chad?”He glanced at Raudel who’d shuffled right along with him. Chad did one more shuffle as Raudel creeped up on him a bit too close. He struggled to keep his breathing even.Never show your fear when facing the enemy. The task at hand had temporarily allowed him to push aside the harsh reality that he was still at risk of being humiliated by Raudel.Chad’s nemesis spoke up. “I just want you to know how glad I am that I was able to make this trip.”He waited for Raudel to continue, but all he did was stare, a slight tug at the corner of his mouth.Chad swallowed hard, his mouth too dry to ease the way. “Uh.” He croaked it out. “Yeah. Lindsey was superexcited that you could make it.” He licked his bottom lip to moisten it.Raudel glanced down, then back up again so quickly Chad wondered if he’d hallucinated the whole thing.“It’ll be great to see her again. But I’m very happy that you’re here too, Chad.”To have your chance to mock me? The heat that bloomed in Chad’s face had to be turning his white skin scarlet. He was infuriated that blushes came so easily to him, and on top of that, were so pronounced.Raudel smiled wide in what Chad imagined was victory. He snapped his head forward and snatched up another price tag.Shit. I’m fucked all the way around. He dropped the tag then crossed his arms angrily.A long pause followed, and Chad shifted uncomfortably on his feet. His curiosity got the better of him, and he stole a glance at Raudel. Chad widened his eyes at Raudel’s expression. Raudel appeared to be contemplating whether or not he should say something.Oh God. This is it.

Opposites by TM Smith ~ Audiobook Blog Tour with Giveaway! @TTCBooksandmore #gay #lgbt #dystopian #romance
Opposites is now available on Audiobook Written by T.M. SmithNarrated by Greg Boudreaux
In the year 2081, our planet survived global warming on an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded, Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few hundred survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the twenty first century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene: the gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians.
A new society was born
In the year 2300 Dr. Smith’s descendants are ushering in the twenty fourth century having maintained control of the government that still rules society. Twins, Aiya and Aiyan, are preparing to meet their matches and take control of House Gaeland, the current ruling House. But not everything is as it seems.
Nature vs Nurture
Love is Love... it knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions or boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi, that he is matched with and eventually marries. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over two hundred years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.
*WARNING* Opposites is an Adult Dystopian majorly M/M novel that contains explicit sexual content and relationships between gay, lesbian and straight couples. There are brief scenes of violence.

Q&A with Author Tempe O'Riley
Tams – If you could spend the day with one of your characters, which one would it be, and why?
Tempe – Oh, now that’s a hard one. I love so many of my guys that it’s hard to choose, but if I had to pick only one... hmm... I think I’d have to go with Alex. I loved writing Lexie I all his/her wonderful forms and ways of presenting. I would love to sit down with Lexie and really visit—spend time discussing all kinds of things, especially now that I’ve come out publically as genderfluid myself.
Jeff - What are you working on currently and what's its inspiration?
Tempe – I finished “Fangs with a Heart” (which I just signed the contract on YaY) and am now working on book #2 in the Club Fierce series (Caged Sanctuary was #1). Oddly, one of my kids was partly the inspiration for the sub. He’s no sub, LOL, but he has a condition where the main bones in both his shins and his thighs are torked (yes, each set of bones has a different unique name L ) and so his legs and feet are turned in and he walks a little odd. He also has dealt with being teased and harassed over the years.
Wade - If the lead character in your current novel were to read your other books, which one would be his/her favorite and why?
Tempe – Oh, I’ve set the precedent that Nate (the MC I just mentioned) loves to read. He has a short cameo in “Dreamers’ Destiny. He has a total thing for reading BDSM romances so he would love “Caged Sanctuary” if it were a book in his world.
Jake - If all of your MCs were thrown into a strange and dangerous world where survival relies on ingenuity, creativity, common sense who would come out on top?
Tempe – Each of my MC’s I think has those traits in different ways, but add in dangerous world and survival issues... and I’d think Keith, my lynx shifter, or Sasha, the Vampire Prince, from my Chain of Fate series (“Whiskers of a Chance” is book #1).
Brandon - What musician or album do you think people should listen to as they read your work because it fits the soul of your words (either a specific title or your writing in general)?
Tempe – Oh, don’t ask anything hard! Um... that really varies from day to day and title to title. Blue October, NIN, Penatonix, Prince, Jazz, Blues, Mozart, etc.
Morticia – If you could be one of your characters and live their life, who would it be and why?
Tempe – If I was—well, James from “Designs of Desire” was based on me in far too many ways, sadly. If I could be one though, as in want to be... oh, I don’t know. In an odd way, I think Nate and Lexi would be my top picks to be. Nate, you’ll have to wait for his story to read for that to make sense, but let’s just say, serving Raven will let him finally be who he’s always wanted to be. And Lexie because I identify so closely, but I can’t find my Dal.
Tempeste – If you could be a fruit, any fruit, which would you be and why?
Tempe – (Shh, I know it’s my own question. We’re gonna ignore that point, lol.) Pineapple. Seriously. Sweet inside, Tough outside. Goes with everything. And damn I’m fun with alcohol LOL
Jordan – What is the thing you enjoy most about gatherings like GRL?
Tempe – Meeting readers where my stories have touched them. I love that my stories are not only fun for many, but often seem to resonate with readers. Getting to hear their stories and see how much that means to them means so very much to me! And I thank each and every one for letting me into their hearts and lives like that.
LE Franks – What is the most vivid romantic moment from any film that has lingered the longest and meant the most to you…. and why?
Tempe – “Nobody puts Baby in the corner,” from Dirty Dancing. I know, from that movie there are so many more that are considered hotter, sweeter, more romantic, but it’s that one that always resonated. He’s defending and claiming her, publically, against her father, in front of all those snobs. That’s what made it mean so much to me.
K-Lee – If you could take any fictional couple or character (television, movies, real-life, books) and add them to one of your books, who would it be and why?
Tempe – Any? Oh wow.... The Mad Hatter—Johnny Depps’ version. I just love that version and think he would be so much fun to play with as an author and a reader.
AE – What kind of quirky habits do you have before or during the time you write?
Tempe – Coffee. There must be coffee. Otherwise, I’m not that weird, I don’t think. Oh, and it can’t be completely quiet. I can’t focus if it’s too quiet, lol.
Alexa – When you write, do your characters hijack the story, or do you keep a tight grip on the reins?
Tempe – Total hijack. I find out what’s happening as the story unfolds and they often go places that I did NOT intend the story to do. The harder I try to grip the reins, the more they show me that I’m not the one in charge.

Description:Turn The Page.... began as a simple idea and grew from there. No matter how bad things seem to be, just turn the page, there’s more—better—things to come. This is only one chapter in your life. It’s not the whole story. With this simple idea, Novice Sister Eroti-Quill—whom most know better as Tempeste O’Riley—began their quest to help Suicide Prevention and Awareness programs in their area. They managed to con (excuse me, convince) other authors to donate their time and stories to the project, and now, many months later, Turn The Page is born!
The authors in this anthology donated their talent as a way to support Eroti-Quill’s hope for others, to help bring strength to programs that so desperately need funding. It will allow them show those that need support but may not have it, or that may be afraid to reach out, just how much love and understanding surrounds them. Turn The Page.... is a diverse range of stories about the journey of love, hope, and acceptance.
Individual Blurbs:
Happy Birthday to Me by Tempeste O’Riley When Dave’s best friend drags him out for his birthday—nearly kicking and screaming, he finds more than he expected at Sovereign, the BDSM club he half owned but had refused to step foot in for two years other than for administrative things while it was closed. He didn’t go to clubs. He didn’t sub anymore. Period.Well... until he sees Master Nicky. Then his plans for his birthday change and he decides that maybe giving himself a present, might not be quite such a bad idea after all. Robin’s Confession by Dianne Hartsock How can Robin find true love without accepting himself first? Purr by Nikki Prince Sasha's love was in imminent danger. All she wanted was to keep Tori safe. Stay at the cabin wait for the verdict from the council. That’s all they had to do. One little dip in the lake couldn’t hurt could it? Lockdown by Grace R. Duncan Gylam’s never been that great at communication and this time he’s gone too far. His penchant for keeping his mouth shut resulted in a disastrous trip to the local dungeon. Jackson, his partner—both cop and at home—and Dom, is well familiar with Gylam’s tendencies. The punishment he gives Gylam is just shy of his limits, but Gylam knows he’s earned it. It remains to be seen if it teaches him anything, though. Ducks in a Row by Sue Brown David spends his afternoons feeding the ducks, a peaceful activity until the day Jeff and his Labrador dog burst into his life. David and Jeff get to know one another, punctuated by Bozo's mishaps, but David is unwilling to share all his secrets. Will Jeff give him the time he needs? Butterflies by Aine P Massie Kyndra visits Jaiden’s shop for a little birthday shopping but is there for more than the pretty blown glass designs she makes—lovely though they are. Once Step Back by Carole Cummings When Sahir is busy running for his life, it never occurs to him that the being in wrong place at the wrong time might turn into the right place at the right time. Not until he literally collides with Nicholas and salvation comes by way of magical intervention. But when Nicholas ends up being the one who really needs help, Sahir has to decide the best way to give it—and how to offer it to someone who can’t even figure out if he wants it. Superheroes by Hope Ryan Many people reach a point where they think life can’t get any worse. Rock bottom, where the future is so bleak, they begin to ask, “why bother?”When homeless gay man Wayne Kent reaches that point, standing on a Pittsburgh bridge on a cold Tuesday in April, the last thing he expects is to get stopped—especially by a man named Bruce Clark. But Bruce has been there, he’s seen that, he’s thought and felt the things Wayne is now and he refuses to see the beautiful, hurting man become another statistic. Coffee and a sandwich is a first step and Bruce hopes it’ll lead to a permanent step up for Wayne. And maybe even a step toward more together. Unworthy by Mark Zubro A love lost over half a century ago. Is there really redemption for all of our regrets, or at least perhaps for one regret? A chance to change the decision you made over half a century ago, or at least a chance to say what was unsaid, to say what could be said now? The love you missed so long ago, and if you could have one moment again, once last chance. Love and Hope and Magic by Antonia Aquilante Once each century, a ritual is performed, the magic of which sustains the land and protects it and its people for the century to come. But the person who performs the ritual never survives. This time Ailill is chosen. He is honored and content with his fate, but his best friend Lorcan is not. Lorcan can’t accept the loss of Ailill and can’t see a life without the man he thinks of as his other half. But Ailill knew Lorcan perhaps better than Lorcan knows himself, and he knew a life of love and magic is waiting for Lorcan after Ailill is gone, if only Lorcan can find the courage to reach for it. Façade by D. Zander Crane David struggles with his gender identity as he searches his city for a woman-murdering madman in his female alter-ego, Façade. GRNW Wrap-up ~ Better Late Than Never! #LGBT #GRNW #conference #books #authors
So I've been frantically trying to meet a deadline (Bondage Play, Play Series 2), and now that I have, I can write about the awesomeness that was GRNW (Gay Romance Northwest) last week! First off, one of the things that was discussed at the conference is how GRNW has grown into so much more than gay romance, so searching for a new name is definitely on the table for next year. What I love about this meet-up is the emphasis on community and the fact that the focus is on the entire LGBTQIA spectrum in both attendees and authors. I always discover new authors at the meet. The conference this year was free because it was supported by Old Growth Northwest, the Seattle Public Library and Gay City Health Project. The actual conference took place in the Bill Gates auditorium and other rooms of the Seattle Public Library. An emotional and heartfelt keynote address was delivered by Tracy Timmons-Grey, who has been responsible from the beginning for organizing this wonderful event. She discussed how far LGBT literature has risen in the past year, and touched on some of the challenges to the community as well, most notably, the Orlando Pulse shooting.
Several wonderful panels followed, including the Bi-erasure No More one that I was a part of with my fellow authors Charley Descoteaux, CJane Elliot, EJ Russell, Dev Bentham and editor Amanda Jean. You can hear our entire panel HERE. We had strong attendance, and I was touched by the diversity in the audience. The highlight panel for me was the one on Trans fiction. There are some seriously amazing trans and gender queer authors out there including Ben Brock, Austin Chant, E.E. Ottoman, Christopher Hawthorne Moss, Tobi Hill-Meyer and others. You must check out their work.
The event kicked off Friday night (I know, I'm not a very chronological person!) with readings at the Hugo House which gave me my first glimpse into some incredible trans and lesbian fiction and romance that I can't wait to read. On Saturday, once the panels were done, attending authors did a signing which became more of a social event for me, but gave me a great opportunity to hand out 50 free copies of the first book in the Play series, Role Play, and to meet many new people.
Afterwards, we adjourned to the Rendezvous Bar where we socialized in the Grotto below (a genuine speakeasy from the Prohibition era) with food and drink and shared more, er, explicit readings. Austin Chant congratulated me on joining him in the reading of some filth. Many authors picked up the mantle, though, so we were not alone in our quest. We ended the evening playing a game similar to Cards Against Humanity, but we answered the prompts with lines from books instead of cards. In conclusion, a good time was had by all.
In between all this, I managed to get some writing done as well as touristing it up at Mama's Mexican Cantina (note the Elvis table shrine in the photo) and a visit to Pike Place where we enjoyed the fish market sellers throwing the fish (yeah, I was confused too, but when someone purchases a fish, they yell out then hurl it to one another. I'm easily amused). I also loved the street entertainers (plot bunny anyone?), the Victorian lady, living statue being my fave.
My next journey is to GRL in a couple of weeks. I'm driving over two thousand miles to get there, so I will most definitely be writing on the road, and I also plan to vlog about it with the Thelma to my Louise (we won't be going to the Grand Canyon, however), author LE Franks. Hope to see you there!

Would You Like One Night in a Dungeon? #BDSM #gay #romance #NewRelease @HCBrownauthor
ONE NIGHT IN A DUNGEONAre you ready to step into the dungeons and minds of three edge-playing Doms? Luminosity Publishing brings you the much anticipated, One Night in a Dungeon anthology. A collection of red-hot M/M, M/M/M, BDSM stories written especially for you by three international bestselling authors, H.C. Brown, Tamsin Baker, and Dylan McEwan.
Whatever your flavor, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this erotic mixture of hot stories, chosen by me, especially for the connoisseurs of kink. . . .H.C. Brown
Master Luke by H.C. Brown:
After so many subs, the men’s names have faded into sated memories of lust, with one exception, Master Luke’s vanilla virgin, Brian, and the one night in his dungeon, he will never forget.
Master Luke is always looking for a well-lubricated willing ass, and unmarked flesh to flog. He loves men, all men, the twinks, the bears, young, old, innocent or man-whores makes no difference once they are tied to his bench and under his flogger. After so many subs, the men’s names he enjoyed have all faded into sated memories of lust, with one exception, his vanilla virgin, Brian, and the one night in his dungeon, he will never forget.
Excerpt:I’m looking for down and dirty, hot and willing, so if you’re looking for a happy every after in my dungeon, you’ve come to the wrong guy.The BDSM club, Red, is my domain. I enjoy the scent of men, especially when wrapped in the rich musky male smell of sex and leather. I like to take my time looking over the mix of subs on offer. They say there is someone for everyone but for me it makes no difference once I have them tied to my bench, and begging for my cock … and they all do … beg, I mean. It is the sweetest sound and almost as good as the little moans they make when they come.Red is a safe environment with regulation testing for all members, and tonight I’ve set my sights on a sweet piece of virgin ass by the name of Brian. Fuck! The moment, he walked past, his face all flushed, looking around excited, he could have stood on a table and shouted, “Look at me. I’m a vanilla virgin.”Fuck, my cock hardened so damn hard it made my head spin. He had that cute look, unsullied, fresh, and oh so innocent. I almost came in my pants when he did the unforgivable and met my gaze with a challenge I couldn’t ignore. The noise around me faded into a buzz, and I grabbed his arm to spin him around to face me. “You looking for some action, pup?”He gave me that, “who me” look and wet his bottom lip in an unconscious come-on. The blush staining his cheeks made my cock grow an extra inch. The damp head pressed against the rough zipper of my pants sending waves of delicious sensation straight to my balls. I wanted to throw him over the nearest table, rip off his pants, and do him dry. I bit back the wave of insatiable need and sucked in a deep breath trying to curb my enthusiasm.“I–I’m not sure.” He shuffled his feet and his gaze settled on my hard-on. “Maybe…”
Master Tony by Tamsin Baker
Master Tony is ready to fulfill Nathan's wicked fantasies, and if his sub can go the distance, he might decide to keep him.
Nathan needs a Dom and a good, long night more than anything. He enters Club Extreme with hopes of meeting Big D Dom—a Dom he’s met online. What he doesn’t expect is for Master Tony to fulfill every fantasy Nathan has ever had, and he invites him back for another night!Master Tony wants a sub to serve him, to love and whip. Nathan makes all the right noises online, and when they meet in real life, the chemistry is incredible. But he has a decision to make, his sub lives in another state. So what’s a big Dom meant to do when his perfect boy lives so far away?
Excerpt:The first crack of the whip felt almost soothing. The leather wrapped itself around my belly then flicked back. I grabbed onto the chains and let my head drop.Over and over the sting of the whip made me cry out, and I loved the burn. My cock was back to half mast, and I let the pain drop me down, down, and further down. I was one with the moment, swaying my hips to the music in my head.Master Tony flicked the whip in a particularly quick arch, and I’d cried out “yellow” before I made the conscious choice to end the session. He stopped instantly, moving close to press his now naked chest to my burning back.“Good boy, pretty boy, brave boy.” Master Tony crooned to me and stroked my hair, while the burn in my back turned to something pleasing. He untied me from the chains, and I cried out at the pain my sore limbs protested. Master Tony rubbed my aching arms as I fell back onto him. He wrapped his arms around me. My eyes were still closed.“Lie on your tummy, baby boy, and I’ll get the cream.”I moved forward, but Daddy helped me lie on my belly, my stiff prick hard under me. I didn’t know if he meant lube or cream for my back but at that moment I didn’t care.Cool fingers rubbed into my back, and I moaned, “Thank you, Daddy.”“Daddy” almost seemed an appropriate term for Master Tony as he cared for me. He massaged the cream into my back in a soothing rhythm, moving down my spine until he found my still-burning ass. I lifted myself up wantonly, and he chuckled.“On your knees.”I moved to my knees, lethargy pushed to the back of my mind as my body began to throb with awareness.Ranulf by Dylan McEwan
With his Viking physique, Nordic godlike features, and insatiable sexual appetite, Ranulf is the supreme Alpha male, a Dom’s Dom—and his underground dungeon is by no means his darkest secret.
Submissive Ryan is head-over-heels in love with the handsome, dominant Brandon Lewis. Ryan doesn’t care that the man can’t commit to monogamy but enjoys an endless string of casual hook-ups and one-night-stands. On the contrary, the masochist revels in being humiliated by Brandon’s boasting of his many conquests. But while the man is so totally open about his casual promiscuity, he is very secretive about the rest of his life, and Ryan knows nothing about his background.Who is the mysterious Ranulf and what is his relationship with Brandon?Does his Dom have a Dom of his own? When promised ‘one helluva night’ and taken to a mysterious underground dungeon, he has no idea that submitting to the Thor-like Nordic Master Ranulf is going to change his life forever, in the most incredulous fantastical way.A sexually charged, explicit BDSM romance.
Excerpt:“I knew they'd make a cute cage couple," the leather-clad master commented. “It’s fun watching two subs together.” He went up to the cage and reached a hand between the bars to stroke Kristztian’s hair. “Kiss” he ordered, stepping back again to stand beside the other, lesser Dom.Ryan pulled back a little from the other lad and looked to Brandon. No matter how many other men they had sex with, the rules were no kissing and no sleeping with. As magnetic and intense as Ranulf was, he couldn’t break their rules for him or for anyone, not without consulting his boyfriend first. Ranulf’s eyes narrowed and he pressed his lips together in a hard thin line for a few seconds before speaking.“My dungeon, my rules. Down here, you do what I say. If you refuse, you will be hurt.”Adrenalin rushed through Ryan’s body in a fearful glorious surge. He was a little scared, yes, but elated at the same time. After all, as long as he was compliant, there was surely no need to be really afraid; and if Ranulf went too far, Brandon would step in anyway, he would always protect him. He looked back at Kristztian, met his gaze briefly, then leaned in and pressed his mouth against his. He was cool and moist and tasted of cinnamon. He tentatively, slowly, drew his tongue across his lips as an erotic invitation. The invite was accepted – he parted his lips just enough to allow the gentle oral penetration. He lightly rested his hands on the other slave’s shoulders and felt a hand tangling into his hair.“Tell me, has Ryan ever fucked? Been the top?” Ranulf asked Brandon, still keeping his gaze fixed on their two boys kissing and lightly petting.“No, never” he replied, shaking his head. “He’s completely submissive. Why?”“The top isn't always the dominant partner in a relationship, you know, that’s a common misconception” he told him. “And in a BDSM relationship, a total submissive can definitely top if it’s done right. It all depends on how it’s played out. If you have an established and recognized Power Dynamic, then getting your Bottom to Top doesn’t threaten to blur the lines. You’re still completely in control. You can humiliate, embarrass and discomfit a sub by forcing them to fuck, though they usually discover it’s fun after the initial awkwardness is past. You’re getting turned on watching them making out. Imagine watching them screw!” Suppressing a smirk, the more assertive male sat down on the fuck stool beside him, legs wide, hands in pockets. “Kristztian, get his cock out. Make him hard.” he ordered his slave boy, who obeyed without any hesitation.

Slave For Two (Soul Match 1) Now Available! Exclusive Excerpt #scifi #MMM #BDSM #gay #romance
Slave For Two (Soul Match 1) is finally here, and I’m not gonna lie, I’m very excited about this one. I know it’s very naughty to play favorites with your children, but I’m such a sci-fi geek. After I added a sex slave, menage and BDSM with a dash of paranormal, it became my mega-dream combo. I hope you love Chris, Lasar and Nary as much as I do. This is the beginning of their journey into not only their soul match bond, but in the uncovering of the nefarious deeds of the Alasharian hierarchy. There will be a lot more intrigue and battles to come, as well as plenty of hot three-way loving! Can’t go wrong there *wink*Here is the blurb and a tasty snippet for you to enjoy:
What is destined cannot be changed…
Chris has had a monumentally bad month. First, an aggressive band of aliens invaded the Earth, conquered the world, and now he’s fighting for survival in the mountains with his family and the neighborhood bigot. Just because he’s barely out of his teens and a bit on the scrawny side doesn’t mean he can’t watch out for his mom, sisters and younger cousin. Chris keeps searching for the brighter side of things, but his humor is wearing thin. Fear can do that to a guy.Lasar and Nary are a soul matched pair of warriors from Alashar. Lasar is Nary’s Ahna, the one who dominates him, and Nary is the Nasha, or submissive, to Lasar. Every Alasharian, regardless of orientation, needs the balance of the power exchange to exist peacefully within their lifelong soul match bond. When Lasar is awarded a war prize, he sends Nary to look over the recent arrivals.Chris and his cousin Morgan are captured and sent to the slave cages where they discover from the other imprisoned young men that they are destined to be sex toys for alien pairs. When one of those aliens saves Chris and his cousin from being abused by the slave master, Chris hopes that the seemingly kind alien won’t be too horrible of an owner.Lasar and Nary are finally alone together with their new sex slave, ready to enjoy their reward. However, in the middle of their playtime a shocking event occurs that not only disrupts Chris’ world even more than it already has been, but also challenges everything that Lasar and Nary have always held dear. As Lasar searches for answers, he begins to question the reasons behind the Earth invasion and where his loyalties should really lie. As their Ahna, he must be the one who decides whether they will all be safer together, or apart.******Slave For Two Excerpt
“It’s all right, Sir. I’ll come out now.”Chris moved past him, his shoulders hunched. Nary’s heart picked up a rapid beat, the fear that Chris was sick filling him with worry. He tuned into Chris. What plagued his mate was unclear because the bond hadn’t been sealed yet. All he could sense was that something was off with his mate, but he couldn’t ascertain what it was. The only hint he had was the change in Chris’ demeanor after he’d met with his cousin. Maybe it’s not Chris who’s in trouble.Chris dropped onto the couch, his head down as he seemed to stare at nothing. Nary sat as close to him as he dared. He didn’t want to be rejected the way he’d been the night before when Lasar had left. That had been too painful.Chris didn’t seem as though he’d offer up any explanation for his melancholy, and Nary couldn’t stand the ache any longer.“I’m so worried about you Chris, but because the match hasn’t been sealed yet, I can’t tell what it is.” He chanced touching Chris’ hand. “I’m hurting for you.”Chris looked up at him. “I can feel it too. It’s real. I know it is.”Nary cocked his head in confusion. “Of course it’s real. Why wouldn’t it be?”“Oh, Nary. This is too much for me to handle, too overwhelming.”“It takes time, my pet.” Nary held out his arms. “Please, Chris. Let me hold you near. I need to feel you next to me.”Chris accepted his offer by climbing onto his lap, and Nary sighed with a measure of relief as he wrapped him in an embrace. Humans were puzzling. But he supposed it was because Chris didn’t know how to send his spirit to the stars and had never heard of a soul match before. They stayed still and quiet for several moments until Chris’ breathing had evened out and Nary’s heart rate had slowed. Nary finally felt as if he could prod Chris for more information over what was bothering him. It was his job now too. He was responsible for another being, had to protect and care for him.“Please tell me what’s wrong, pet. I’m sorry I’m not better at being your Ahna yet, but I know Lasar will teach me well, and I’ll always try my best to be what you need.”Chris groaned. “See, this is the confusing part and it’s making me crazy. When I was with Morgan, he made me doubt you both, but when I’m with you, I can feel how genuine it is, how genuine you are. How can I get him to see the same thing?”Chris’ words helped clarify things for Nary. His poor mate was being pulled in different directions emotionally. “You must remember how strange it has to be for him right now, Chris. Even though things are different for you too, he doesn’t have a soul match to care for him or to give him love. He’s alone without his family, without you. It must be very difficult to see his cousin happy when he’s so alone.”“Damn. First I feel like a shitheel with him, now I feel like one with you.” He let out a disgusted snort. “I can hardly wait until Lasar gets back. I should be a total dickwad by then.”“I’m not sure I understand what all those words mean, Chris, but I don’t like how they feel. Why are you so angry with yourself?”Chris twisted in his arms then gazed up at him. “I think it’s better if we all discuss it together, with Lasar here too.”As much as Nary had hoped he could be a good Ahna to Chris before Lasar came back, he sensed Chris was right. If something bad was going on with Chris’ cousin that affected the three of them, then Lasar’s presence when Chris discussed what it was would be important.“You’re right pet. We’ll wait for our Ahna.”“Sir?”“Yes?”Chris peered up at him with the open, wide-eyed expression that Nary loved. “I don’t think you’re a bad Ahna.”“My sweet pet.” ******
