I knew I wanted to write about a baseball player and a dancer, since my cover models (my nephew and my photographer's daughter) were a baseball player and dancer, respectively. But I knew I had to put them in some type of tricky situation. I thought, what if my dancer couldn't dance anymore? Once I realized that's what I wanted to do, I need to come up with how to make that happen. That's when I started writing. Ben was only supposed to be in rehab for the original simple surgery and his friend Johnny was added to be a positive reinforcement. Once I start writing, my characters seem to take over. I had no idea Ben's fate or Johnny's. I only knew where I wanted to take Rose. So it's kind of fun when that happens, because even I don't know where the story is going and that keeps me interested in writing hour after hour. One thing I did want to portray though was that there is always hope. In all my stories, I want the reader to feel a happy sense of hope when she/he is finished reading my books. I hope you enjoyed my answer, and thank you so much for asking about Reaching Rose.(less)

Honor was one of my early books, and when I went back to read it, I noticed some things I would never do now that I have been writing for a while. Hopefully, I will be finished with it by the winter. I am currently writing another book at the moment. Since you've already read the first book, I can send you a digital copy of 2 & 3 if you'd like. They will be the original versions. Just email me at happyeverafter.jpgrider@gmail.com and be sure to let me know where I can email you the books. Thank you again for reading Honor and for contacting me. (less)
