Celtic Storms is LIGHTING UP Amazon!
It’s been a great week! The first book in my Celtic Steel Series, Celtic Storms was published on Amazon as a FREE Kindle edition this past Friday, and is currently ranked #1 in the historical romance genre, and #7 overall for fiction.
There have been over 20,000 downloads so far and we are still going strong. That’s 20,000 units in 2 days! In addition to the many personal emails I have received, there are a number of good reviews listed on Amazon, GoodReads, AuthorsDen and Facebook.
I am simply ecstatic! This being my very first novel, and I self-published – I could not be happier. The reviews that have come in have been well received and I’m listening to my readers. Genuine critique is a growth catalyst and I am not immune to improving. Keep them coming!
I am also happy to announce that I am half-way finished with the second in the series, Celtic Shores and it is coming along nicely. An excerpt is available for those interested at BookBuzzer – just click here.

I have read historical romance for over twenty years and the way the author transformed the genre and included paranormal elements (witchcraft, ESP, druidism, shape-shifting, etc.) was impressive. Her characters were thoroughly developed and like-able; and most importantly, believable – even considering the type of book it was. I could relate to the story line well and had no need to “look anything up” – even though she used words I wasn’t completely familiar with – and was mindful to include language from the “day and time.”
I could tell right away I would enjoy the read; because the canter of the dialogue was so fresh and realistic – almost like I was there – watching it happen. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys historical romance with a paranormal twist and has a taste for adventure! I liked how she took her time in setting up the series with her first book – most authors write a second book as an after thought, and then spend too much time in the following books re-canting redundant information in a prologue or repeated chapters. They are to be married to forge a bond between the two clans and provide a male leader for the O’Malley clan, but neither is very sure of this arranged marriage at first.
