Allen Martin Bair is a former pastor with the Old Catholic Church, and more recently an instructional assistant for students with moderate to profound medical and developmental disabilities in a local school district in Southern California where he lives with his family. He is a major science fiction and fantasy nerd, and has written twelve fan fiction novels from popular fandoms in addition to his original works. For Roman Catholics, the beginning of the priesthood is a process of formation that can last for years before entering seminary. If he is Roman Catholic, I would recommend he begin speaking with his local pastor or diocesan office and express his desire to enter the priesthood. From there it will be a process of spiritual formation for them to determine whether or not he is a suitable candidate. The candidacy process lasts for years, so be prepared for that. There is also the diaconate in some Dioceses which is also an ordained order that is one step below the priesthood. Why I Translate the Books of the New Testament from Scratch Again and Again and Again

I've translated through every book of the New Testament at least twice. Most of them I've done at least four or five times. Some, like Romans, I've lost count of how many times I've translated through it completely fresh.
