Born in Yorkshire, I have worked as a journalist in my home county, Lancashire and Devon, covering news, health, arts and music, meeting famous and not so famous people, lovely and awful people, witnessing incredible scenes and awful tragedies.
I enjoy sport, writing, music, a decent drink - and cats!
I started writing The Choreography of Ghosts 12 years ago and finally hit the publish button in April after stops, starts, bursts of inspiration and bouts of self doubt.
Do I like it? People have been very nice but it was only after those I didn’t know started saying and writing lovely things about it that I could accept its quality.
