J.J. Cassidy has worked for a riding stable, been a receptionist, an insurance clerk, and a freight forwarder. After that came the job at the steamship line, the Japanese Securities firm and the bank that doesn't exist anymore.

She's worked with animals -- dogs, primarily -- since 1994, and is much happier that way.

My plan is to release a longer version, with an all-new second "half" that takes Naxom and Zeri to Zeri's homeland. I would love to release it late 2015, and that actually looks like it might be possible.(less)

Oddly, I just wrote some more about them recently--I was getting supplies to make coquito, and that made me think about them. I am so glad you enjoyed their story!(less)

Happy Independence Day!

I'm a terrible blogger--I admit it. I either ramble or completely forget to post anything, which is why I haven't had a post in four years. Ugh.
Anyway, I just finished rewriting "That Night in Cherry Grove" to fix some of the problems with the original version, and now it's out on Amazon. It's a quick and sexy read, perfect for summer!
There's also a new holiday novella, "Doornails & Holly", a mode Read more of this blog post »

T.S. Eliot
“Footfalls echo in the memory, down the passage we did not take, towards the door we never opened, into the rose garden.”
T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets

T.S. Eliot
“So here I am, in the middle way, having had twenty years-
Twenty years largely wasted, the years of l'entre deux guerres-
Trying to use words, and every attempt
Is a wholy new start, and a different kind of failure
Because one has only learnt to get the better of words
For the thing one no longer has to say, or the way in which
One is no longer disposed to say it. And so each venture
Is a new beginning, a raid on the inarticulate,
With shabby equipment always deteriorating
In the general mess of imprecision of feeling,
Undisciplined squads of emotion. And what there is to conquer
By strength and submission, has already been discovered
Once or twice, or several times, by men whom one cannot hope
To emulate - but there is no competition -
There is only the fight to recover what has been lost
And found and lost again and again: and now, under conditions
That seem unpropitious. But perhaps neither gain nor loss.
For us, there is only the trying. The rest is not our business.”
T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets
