January 7th, 2019

Whew! It's been a long time!

It's been a crazy few years. You will all be happy to know that I am writing again (at freaking last). And not just writing here and there, but writing on a fairly regular basis.

My newest novel, a contemporary new adult, is like nothing on my list, therefore it will be published under my new married name, Sarah Kraft. Whether published by New York or by myself, I am yet to say. I'm going to let fate make that decision.

Markings' sequel is still in the works, but remains on the back burner gathering dust. This does not mean I have given up on it; it just means I have bigger projects before me right now. My life is much different now than when I was first telling the story of Celina's life, and I want the sequel to sink up with the original characters and plot plans, which may take me some time to fall back into.

I am also working on a dark romance, something from my nightmares and from my dreams. It's been a tough book to write, emotional, but I am rather in love with it. We will see how long it takes me to finish.

Anyway, that's all for now. Good luck in the new year my friends :)

IT'S DONE!

You read me right: I did it... I finally, finally, after 3 years and a good kick in the butt from my editor (Thank you Tamara, I really needed it) I am truly DONE with my Science Fiction novel!!!

It still hasn't quite sunk in yet. I still wake up thinking, "God, I need to finish that." But after 4 days and a last, grueling 12 hour sitting... it is complete.

Release date is not yet set, but the book will be for sale in early 2016 through my fantastic publisher, WiDo Publishing.

I now am taking on the task of remodeling and moving into our new house, but once that is done (hopefully in a couple of weeks) I am planning on moving onto my next writing project, which will either be the sequel to Markings or the sequel to this Sci Fi novel.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and kind words. It's been a heck of a rough year, and this felt like my first victory through all the chaos...

Will write again soon.

XOXO,

S.B. Roozenboom

2015 Update

Wow, once again I have not been keeping everyone up to date! I am so, so sorry my lovely fans and readers.

This year has quite frankly been... crap. Yeah, I'm just going to say it. It's been crap. Being suddenly dislodged from my long-time home didn't make it much better. But people are funny during divorces. Sides are taken. People change (a lot). True colors come out. Life goes from walking along a bumpy road to suddenly falling off a cliff and I quite frankly am still trying to climb back up.

So here is where I am at writing wise:
After 3 years, my first science fiction novel is almost ALMOST complete! It's been a war for me to get this baby done and out. My editor at WiDo Publishing has been very patient with me and we are hoping to release it at the end of this year or early next year.

Sequel to Markings has been started but I am trying to finish one project at a time. With little computer access right now, writing has been very difficult.

Here is where I am at emotionally:
Drained... Very drained. I work 4 to 5 days a week right now and between that and dealing with the messy, mass changes in my family right now, just getting out of bed is a challenge.

Here is where I hope to be in a year:
Happy. That's where I really hope to be. I also hope to have my science fiction novel completed and on bookshelves. I also hope to be head-first into the sequel to Markings.

Thanks all my wonderful fans for your patience and support. Love to you all <3

Book Tee Shirts Anyone? :)

Once again I have been unsuccessful at keeping up on my blogging efforts. My life has changed a lot this year and between college and other new challenges that have entered my life, I am not as far on writing sequels and new books as I had hoped to be. I know how anxious some of you are to see what happens to Aaron and Celina (Markings) and where the heck Hayden and Rose are going (Taste of Silver) and I do plan on getting to all of that, but right now I am mentally at a point of exhaustion.

Anyway, to keep the book spirit alive I've brought forth some new ideas... Who wants tee shirts? :)

I've designed a handful but have only now started to like what I'm working on. If I can get enough people to commit to buying them, I will most certainly be ordering these tees to sell to all you lovely fans!

If I do get enough people to commit and I do order a batch of tees, I will be sending along personalized thank yous with my autograph for this first batch :)

Please visit my facebook to view the newest Tee shirt designs! Enough Likes and I will do it :) If you don't like them, lets critique them! What would you guys want to wear?

April Update

Hey everybody!

Sorry, I know I've kind of fallen off the surface of the writing planet. Came home from a visit with family in January, tended to my very sick mother for a couple of weeks (she's okay now, thank God), got a new job, started school back up, and uhhh yeah. Where has my time gone lately, right??

Good news: I'm taking the summer off school to work on some book stuff--I am hoping, HOPING this means I'm going to be up to writing the sequel to Markings! I've actually been dreaming about it for the past couple of weeks and I really want that to happen sooner than later.

I am also working on a photographic style memoir... I'll explain that more in detail later if it actually comes to be. I'm excited about that, too, but that's a whole other can of corn.

Anyway, hope all of you are having a wonderful new year. Pray for a quick summer. This Oregon weather is bumming me out!

Loves! Xoxo

Update: My Series of Unfortunate Events...

Hey guys,

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. It's been a rather spastic and upsetting household over here. As I am working and writing AND getting back into college now I am still living with my family for the moment. And when I say "for the moment" I mean it may only be a few moments more. My parents are finally splitting which means the separation of my entire family. You'd think at my age with everything going on in my life it wouldn't be such a big deal, but I grew up completely submerged in family, and this split has affected everyone.

Needless to say I am emotionally exhausted from the past few months. I know you are all waiting on sequels to A Taste of Silver and I've had tons of questions about the sequel to Markings but I am writing to say that I will probably be putting those two things on hold for a short while due to all the stress my family is going through. I'm not saying I won't write at all in the next few months--I'm just saying it is not going to be my top priority. It's time to pull my head out of the books (literally) and start focusing on my future. I'm going to be taking a fairly heavy college load next term in hopes of getting a better job here soon.

In other news, I am giving myself further anxiety attacks as the first 6 weeks of my 8 week book proposal with a well-known New York literary agency is up. I will know within the next 2 weeks if said agent has accepted me... This one's a big deal for some reason. Probably because she sounded like she really loved my sci-fi novel and I spent 9 months doing a re-write from her gracious comments. Praying, crossing fingers and limbs that she says yes. She sounds like an amazing agent to work with.

Anyway, off to class before I'm late. Will update soon.

Xoxo,

S.B. <3

New Cover Contest?

Hey guys!!!
Sorry I haven't posted for a while! Just left my retail job and getting into the office scene as well as going to school AS WELL AS sending off my sci-fi teen novel to New York for review!

Phew! Yeah it's been a nuthouse over here.

Anyway, I have long been thinking it is time to get A TASTE OF SILVER a new cover. I mean, I think my current cover is beautiful especially in paperback, but I feel like it doesn't work real well as an ebook cover. The sales have dropped significantly, and I feel like the cover is so boring now compared to my other beautiful covers.

So! That said, I am considering hosting a cover contest. Best cover becomes the new cover for the ebook version of A TASTE OF SILVER. But before I hold this contest I want to know if anyone would even go for it? I'm going to be pretty picky--just a warning!

Please comment below if you or someone who know would be interested in entering such a thing!

In the meantime, I'm off to work on some writing! :)

Xoxo!

S.B.
