HOW THE INTERNET CHANGED YOUR LIFE...

The Internet made it possible for YOU AND ME to compete with John Grisham, John Locke, and Steven King!!!

The advantages they had before the Internet became OUR ADVANTAGE TOO.

Money can't stop you.
Time can't stop you.
Know-how can't stop you. So, you can't afford not to for it. Use it.

My best,

INDIGO’S PURPLE DREAMS

The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires (THE MAYOR'S WIFE WORE SAPPHIRES 1,2,3) by Martha Tucker When a 36-year old Indigo Tate came off like a modern-day Kerry Washington starring in Scandal, she saw a humongous possibility and she grabbed it. Taking it into her slim, brown hands, she coddled it and whispered, “It’s mine.”

That was a long time before Scandal. In fact, Indigo’s projected and protracted, full -colored visions always showed up far into her future —fast forward to the summer of ’81, where she had made it all the way from Gary, Indiana sand dunes to first lady of Compton, California. It didn’t come easy, though. She lost her mother to cancer and her father to gambling and disappearance syndrome? Somehow, she survived with only a slight smile she showed the public.

It had been been ten years since that summer day on the banks of the Sandy Lake Michigan beach. She decided to tag along with the graduating seniors from Roosevelt High School, but her thoughts were nowhere near theirs. Her friends laughed and christened new summer bathing suits while Indigo stared at the rippling waves that glistened in the sunlight like a sea of golden coins.

Gary, Indiana is never going to hold me, she thought. She wasn’t going to live in Gary, Indiana, and she wasn’t going to marry a steel mill worker like her stepfather. She was going away to become somebody who mattered. Somebody extraordinary!

“Come on in, Indi,” Sara called while splashing water in Paul Blake’s face.

“In a bit,” she called back without looking up.

She dropped to the sand, reached in her cheap beach bag and pulled out a canary yellow diary and began to write—

What do I care about that cold ass water that’ll dry out my skin? I’m here, not for the sand dunes and purple hued skies, but because my friends insisted. I can’t wait to see Howard U come September. What it’s going to be like, I’m wondering. Well, one thing for sure, I’m going to learn how to make Gary beautiful. I’ll come back and force it to be beautiful. I’ll meet a handsome man and he’ll fall helplessly in love with me. We’ll find a grand old church with beautiful architecture for our wedding. We’ll have two kids and live happily ever after.

“Indi, come on in.”

“In a minutes.” But all of her thoughts and emotions churned in the center of her stomach. Yet, she closed her wide-set eyes and the sun felt warm and smooth against her skin. She couldn’t wait to learn how to make cities beautiful and find Mr. handsome on a green Howard University campus. She saw it clearly, felt it, heard music across campus from the practicing student’s distant laughter. She felt imagined locking eyes with Mr. Right. She stroked her oval face with a slim brown hand, pink painted nails to match the color of her toes. The next line she wrote was the one that would make it all happen…

` Then, she uttered the phrase boldly . It’s mine!”

HOW DO YOU CHANGE WITH THE TIMES?

The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires (THE MAYOR'S WIFE WORE SAPPHIRES 1,2,3) by Martha Tucker I took my book; The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires and started talking to members and five thousand Facebook members about it. I asked if writers and relevant entrepreneurs ever thought of hooking up to sell more. Ninety percent of them said, ”YEA!” I made introductions and the seed of a grand coalition got started. Now the members have become the IMPACT WRITERS. We didn’t start off to become big time booksellers. We started off to learn what big time sellers like Mark Victor Hansen already know to sell millions of books in a month. We spent time learning to become professional. You can too. No one takes time with grooming writers…we did.

By 2009, MySpace was no longer the lead social network, Facebook was dominating. I pulled my coalition together and I started promoting their books. My book wasn’t one of them because I was too busy teaching writers to publish their own books, market their books, and speak up for their own books. Meanwhile, The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires took on a few new forms… from local readings, bus tour readings, church readings, and I brought more and more writers to the forefront of their written interests. Writers became authors.

Then along came Amazon, and The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires played a role early in that new platform. It kept selling; then the author’s community was slowly dropping their total selfishness, and began to say, "'us'" instead of me, me, me. Buy my book, buy my book." The more community members that read the novel, the wider its depth, the face it put on urban cities—it’s politics, it’s ambitions, love, lies, conspiracy, death, and all that makes the “country” a better place to express your words and thoughts. No story like that had ever been written about the urban city—a family with hopes and desires to make a place significant, magnificent. Could it be? A model for every decaying city in America, simply by someone, INDIGO TATE, coming up with the idea of using all of its HUMAN RESOURCES. The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires was a dense book with heavy drama, the haves and the have not’s trying to synergize from each other. More and more people began to see that The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires was a rare look inside the normal life of an inner city mayor, who married a beautiful young wife with ambitions of her own. The book is hilarious in parts; it’s seductive, cunning, with murder plots and murder. Tell me if you’d like to explore that subject. Could you understanding of the workings of three votes make you an asset to America?

How to revive a book that was born before Kindle?

The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires (THE MAYOR'S WIFE WORE SAPPHIRES 1,2,3) by Martha Tucker The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires became the model of what could happen to a book born into a big sea of books without good tools or promo funds. One day, I went to the Los Angeles Convention Center and saw that both writers and entrepreneurs had no brisk sales. They stood around their empty tables wondering how they could recoup the $100 they’d paid for the booth. I heard about Kindle, walked around and talked to them about it. I got my first members at that conference as I talked about Kindle. This is something that can lift you out of living below the poverty line.
