Caldwell was one of my fav authors. She essentially wrote Roman a Clefs. She knew how the real world worked. I read four of her very famous novels. The plots usually revolved re idea that the Globe was run by a bunch of rich bankers & other rich people. Her best book was "The Captains & The Kings", & this book was also about the Globalists or the precursor to them depending on how you look at it. Her ideas showed that the rich & the state can have too much power at the same time along with other factions of power. Some of the novels in a lot of ways were about public morality.
