Nərmin Kamal 1981-ci ildə Bakı şəhərində anadan olub. Bakı Dövlət Universitetində fəlsəfə təhsili alıb. Navarra Universitetində yay fəlsəfə kursunda oxuyub və Boloniya Universitetində qonaq tədqiqatçı olub. 2007-ci ildə ixtisası üzrə aspiranturanı bitirib. İlk şeirləri 1988-cu ildə Pioner qəzetində çıxıb. 1999-cu ildən Azərbaycan mətbuatında jurnalist, publisist olaraq fəaliyyət göstərib. İki kitab müəllifidir. "Umberto Eko və Postmodernizm fəlsəfəsi" adlı ilk kitabı iki dəfə (2008, 2012, Qanun nəşriyyatı) nəşr olunub. "Aç, mənəm!" romanı iki yerli mükafat alıb. 2010-cu ildə Nəsimi adına milli ədəbiyyat mükafatının "ilin romanı" nominasiyasında, növbəti ilsə Azadlıq radiosunun "Oxu zalı" səhifəsinin Gənc romançı nominasiyasında qalib olub.
