First time reading
I started reading when I hit first grade. I was quiet and into my books. They were different each book I read. It fascinated me. I was a reader after that. My parents didn't understand where reading came from since no one in my house read. I enjoyed it and still do. I have read hundreds of books. I can't tell you them all and I can't tell you what they changed in my heart of hearts, but that's okay. I still read and plan to read for years to come. Even when I'm old and in a rocking chair. Even when I can't hold a book anymore. I will have someone read them to me. They give me a thrill. To go into another life even if it's fiction is the best place to be when life gets hard. It gives you explanations that you can't even understand until time unravels them.

book writing
If you want to write a book, then write one. It may become famous. Who knows? I took a chance and wrote books. I have two published. I plan to finish the one I'm on now and publish it. We can only write and publish then hope to sell. Promoting helps but there is only so much you can do. You have to pray, hope and watch. It won't happen within a day. It does happen over time. Write more and more until you can't write anymore. Then go get inspired and write some more. That is all you can do.
