Special Edition: A Hush Over Hamelot
A couple of weeks ago, Hamelot author Sharon Watts had to say goodbye to her dear feline friend after 16 years together.
We saw how difficult this transition was for her. Wanting to cheer her up a bit, we thought we put together a small eBook about her beloved Sugar.
But we don’t do anything small around here in Hamelot, and the project soon turned into something much more. We found a short Hamelot story that Sharon had written years before about Sugar finding her way into the kingdom and put our narrators and illustrator to work. We then ask our team to share the stories about pets they’ve loved and lost. And finally we compiled a list of resources and packaged it as an eBook for adults to talk to kids about death and grief.
We are happy to report that A Hush Over Hamelot is now available on iTunes, and it’s FREE!
How to help:
Go get the eBook!
Post the iTunes link on your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr: https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/a-hush-over-hamelot/id687021942?ls=1.
Leave a review on iTunes (requires basic iTunes account).
Tell your friends.
Share with your kids! If you don’t have kids, borrow one!
Give us any feedback you hear about the book.
P.S. The eBook is currently only available for iPad. If there is significant interest, we will recreate it for Kindle (and the Kindle viewer for your computer). Let us know!

We call her “Macklemum”
We love hip hop artist Macklemore, and we love our author Sharon Watts. Here’s what happens when those two worlds collide. Sharon receives one of her first royalty checks and jams out to the song “Thrift Shop,” which is where she is headed to spend her royalties!

Series III cover is here!
We are working hard these days preparing for the release of our third awesome eBook, Kingdom of Hamelot Series III: Rise of the Dark Kingdom.
What is going on in Hamelot now? Oh my. All sorts of nonsense. It seems gossipy Posten Letterby will finally face his punishment for causing Cat Biggerton to run away. You’ll meet Sir Vellmont Quiller Rytes, the King’s royal archivist. And then Tildy Beane is having all kinds of problems with ruffians at the What Ales Ye Tavern. How will Puddleton Hollow’s giant figure in?
Finally, oh bother, there is trouble brewing in Hamelot. Serious trouble. What does wizard Warwick Mythra see in his crystal ball that has him scurrying through the night to alert the King?
Get ready! Our friends in Hamelot are about to embark on a most dangerous journey. Join us at the end of May to learn how it all turns out when we release Series III!

Crime and punishment during the time of Hamelot
Oh my. What do you think of those crazy Elizabethan folks and their punishments? Do you think this is a good way to deal with talking too much…or even gossip? We can see Posten Letterby going into this chair!

Students in Ms. Henry’s 7th grade class at Amanda Clearcreek in Ohio are using the Kingdom of Hamelot Series I: Menagerie of Murder in the classroom—and having a blast learning about the characters, language and time period!
This is a map that they drew of our beloved kingdom. We think it’s pretty amazing!
Remember that we are offering teachers a free copy of our eBook for use in their classrooms. We’ve also had teachers create lesson plans to accompany the book. Find out more on our page for teachers!

Hamelot Minecraft server now in beta!
Our server is in beta! We are happy to report that our Kingdom of Hamelot Minecraft server is now in beta!
That means that we are allowing players to get on the server and poke around while it is still being built. We want players to scour our kingdom and find any errors or problems and report those back to us. Those who report the best ones will get some great prizes!
Get access!
In order to get access to the server, you must sign up here (don’t worry, it’s painless). Parents, you need to know your child’s Minecraft username.
Please check it out often, since we will be building it and adding more and more in the coming weeks and months.
Here’s a great tutorial that Elijah and Zaccary put together to help you navigate the Minecraft server:
