New novel: The Perfume Muse
It's taken me quite a while, but I've finally published the sequel to Run Away which is entitled The Perfume Muse.
I've worked in the perfume industry for many years and have always been fascinated by fragrance. For example, how perfumers put together "notes" in much the same way as a musician does when writing a piece of music. Perfume is mysterious, complex, intriguing and incredibly intimate - something magical happens when a beautiful perfume touches the skin.
My main character, Julie, is a journalist (like me, really!) who falls in love with a perfumer, Olivier, and moves to Grasse, the world capital of perfume, to be with him. He creates a beautiful fragrance just for her...but then his job takes him to New York and Julie has to decide whether to stay in Grasse or move back to her old life in Oxford. She meets Jean-Jacques, also a perfumer, suave and sexy, who plays with her affections through the creation of a trio or perfumes inspired by her.
I won't spoil the story, but things get complicated when Olivier's grown up son turns up who Julie never even knew existed. She has to make some big decisions...but will she make the right one?
You can find out how she resolves these dilemmas by going to my amazon page and downloading The Perfume Muse: //amzn.to/1BLJXF0
I'd love to know what you think!
Best wishes
