Exploring life as an independent writer...creatively molding and searching for stories that live deep beneath the skin, connected to the heart, pumping slowly with each word I write, each character I birth, my story unfolds and I remember how much I love my life as a writer. Martin Luther King Jr.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
Martin Luther King Jr., A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches

Barack Obama
“We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.

We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics...they will only grow louder and more dissonant ........... We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.

But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.”
Barack Obama

Jamaica Kincaid
“I understood that I was inventing myself, and that I was doing this more in the way of a painter than in the way of a scientist. I could not count on precision or calculation; I could only count on intuition.”
Jamaica Kincaid, Lucy

Jamaica Kincaid
“I was a new person then, I knew things I had not known before, I knew things that you can know only if you have been through what I had just been through.”
Jamaica Kincaid, The Autobiography of My Mother

Jamaica Kincaid
“Something settiled inside me, something heavy and hard. It stayed there, and i could not think of one thing to make it go away. I thought, So this must be living, this must be the beginning of the time people later refer to as 'years ago, when I was young'.”
Jamaica Kincaid

Lisette Brodey Hi JuLonda:

It's so very nice to meet you. By the way, I love the quotes you've chosen and I'm also a great fan of old B&W films, too! (And I just hate when they're colorized!)

Happy Reading,
Lisette

Donneil D. Jackson Hello JuLonda,

Thanks for the requesting me as a friend. If you like erotica and urban romance check out my novel, Chante's Song. There's an excerpt on my profile. Tell me what you think

Author, Julia Hey JuLonda, ~,~
Will you check out my synopsis for my book!

Hit me back and let me know what you think and if it sounds like something you would like on your shelf ~,~

Life Is Never Perfect, Even For These Four Women
New Novel tells the dramatic stories of four young ladies seeking happiness and satisfaction in an imperfect world

Never Say Never follows the enduring journeys of four extraordinary women; from early adolescence into early adulthood. Through the pages of this work, readers will meet an unforgettable quartet ~ Amanda, a successful doctor, LaNae an entrepreneur, Monique, a hairstylist, and Celeste, an educator ~ and through each of their stories, they will witness the obstacles that comes with careers, their own search for meaning and happiness, and ultimately discover their relationships that evolve around family, friendship and love. Through friendship, these women grow and evolve, both individually and collectively.

Reviewer ~ Sidne Kingston
DivineSisterz of Chicago Christian Book Club

Never Say Never... characters are faced with life’s disappointments, growing pains, heartfelt moments, true friendship, revenge, complex confusion, blessings and love that abides. Each character will have to make a decision that will shape their future for the rest of their lives.
The author provides a two-way mirror, one side, the characters and the other side, Maybe You.
A revelation packed storyline sure to hold your attention.
On a scale of 1-4, my rating of Never Say Never….. is a 4

Reviewer ~ Rasheemah
Real Divas of Literature "#1 Book Club

I recommend this book because it is not only about friendship. It shows that if you have faith and trust in God, you can accomplish anything. Ms Thomas did an excellent job with this novel. This is not your average urban book but you will not be able to put it down. Will these ladies be able to find love and happiness? Will there past be there demise?
I give this book 5 Stars

C.P. Hi JuLonda,

Thank you for adding me as a friend. We seem to share some interests. I have always admired Poe's incantation-like verse, e.g. "Annabel Lee". Also, I like the silent horror movies, particularly those with Lon Chaney, Sr., such as "The Phantom of the Opera" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". Have you seen those classics?

Cheers,
Carl Peter
