The bold and brilliant Spring Light has laid ground for new fun.
Everyone forever associates Spring as a time for renewal, rebirth, and reivention. I can testify that this belief is alive and well in the Rohr household. Despite the lack of change with my very dedicated project of promoting my new book Denali Skies A Seasonal Girl's Alaskan Odyssey, I am truly very faithful that it will find success and acceptance in this crazy literary industry. It seems books move through this mechanism in waves. Starting slowly, then building momentum, peaking with great esteem, until they finally come crashing down, dispersing among readers, reviews, and shelves at the local bookstores. I need to catch a wave.
My great comfort is that the book is steadily maintaining interest. Despite the fact its only a few people each day adding it, I am certain these small numbers will add up, and hopefully build and collect enough to create a wave!

I'm so cold, and so tired.
I'm so cold, and so tired. I put my hands together to warm them. The chill in the air pricks and freezes, it torments my nerves. Paired with my exhaustion, the cold creeps in and I can feel it in my chest, and lungs, and down into my feet. It's this cold tired feeling that somehow makes me so deeply sad, I have a physical ache that penetrates right through me in a way that it chills my soul.
I think of myself. I can imagine myself so small and tired, outside waiting for a bus in the interior of Alaska, all alone in the darkness. This image I have of how I must look breaks my heart. What am I doing here? Why am I doing this to myself?
