I sit down to do an assignment, and Bob's your uncle - I get an irresistible idea. Either I drop everything and write it (and be late with my homework), or I'm darned inspired and I have an idea to work on once the course is over. Either way, problem solved. (less)

The answer is, No. I do try to give humans and their alters more or less the same mass, so Were-Chi-Hua-Huas are definitely out.

Other than that, I try to come up with the human character first, figure out what like-mass animal would most suit them, then add character traits of their animal self into their human self.

I think I have all your books too! Our books are awesome.(less)

Herman Melville
“Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth;
whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul;
whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses,
and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet;
and especially when my hypos get such an upper hand of me,
that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off-
then, I account it high time to get to a bookstore as soon as I can.
That is my substitute for the pistol and ball.”

Jack Shaw I have written a dystopian e-novel, Harry's Reality, which for all purposes I have ignored and kept writing other things. Started reading it again and found I still had the passion and that it deserved my attention. I am biased. I decided to get more involved as I write my second novel--this one based more on revenge, fear and superstition. Not quite the same genre, but Harry will have a sequel. My book is available in any digital form from Amazon and virtually any other major vendor. Please forgive until I learn the protocol.
