Dena Roman needs closure. Three months ago, her sister’s murdered body was found in the California desert. When a second body is found at the same site, Dena jeopardizes her public relations position to go undercover and investigate. But falling for the main suspect isn’t part of her plan.
Zeke Cabrera needs help. He sold a portion of his family’s Three C’s Estates to keep his citrus farm afloat, but when bodies are unearthed on the site, he’s suspected of murder. Help comes in the form of a communications expert who makes all the difference in his life and business–and in his heart.
Amidst an attack on her life and run-ins with a cantankerous foreman, Dena digs for the truth, even as she forms a strong bond with Zeke. But can their newly found love survive all the deep secrets hidden at Three C’s Estates?
“Someone shot at me!”
Dena rushed toward him. Her bottom lip trembled. “Who…who would do that?”
Terror was written across her face. He reached out a hand, drew it back. “Are you hurt? Where did it happen?”
“Just after I drove onto your private road—”
“What? Wait a minute.” He grabbed her elbow and eased her into a chair. She dropped a coat hanger of clothes, a pair of high heels, her purse and laptop onto the foyer floor.
“I’m a bit shaky, but I’m not hurt,” Dena mumbled, and lowered her head to almost between her knees.
“I get water,” Irma said, and hurried to the kitchen.
“Tell me exactly what happened.” Zeke kneeled on the tile floor beside her and stroked the top of her arm.
She raised her head. “There’s a hole in the side of my car. I…I could have…could have been killed. Two shots.” She raised two fingers then took in a huge gulp of air.
Zeke took the water glass from Irma.
“Sip it,” he said to Dena, and held the glass to her lips. “You’ve had an awful shock.” He turned his head. “Grab my phone, please, Irma.”
Irma returned a couple of minutes later and handed him his BlackBerry. He still hadn’t made much sense of Dena’s ramblings.
“Who would try to kill me?” Dena asked again. She took the glass from him and drained it.
Irma bustled over and retrieved it.
“I’ve no idea. But we’ll find out.”
Robena Grant writes contemporary romance about women who are thrust into extraordinary circumstances. Travel and discovering new places and customs brings her great pleasure, and she often includes these discoveries in her stories. She is Australian by birth, lives in Southern California, and has two grown children.

Compulsion and Addiction by Misti Murphy Blog Tour
Book Title: Compulsion and Addiction (Magnetic Desires)
Author: Misti Murphy
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 24, 2015
Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions
Compulsion
Stranded in the friend zone, Orion Lance has been in love with his best friend Clo since high school and unable to work out how to get her to see him as more.
After catching her husband cheating, Clo turns to her best friend Orion for support, only to find he wants more than she’s willing to give.
While Orion shows her that not all men are pricks, and not all roses have thorns, Clo must find a way to let go of the past and open up to a second chance at love.
Addiction
Birdie Lance isn’t a victim. She’s an idiot who let a boy get too close. At least that’s how she sees it. It’s easy to not make the same mistake again — she doesn’t let anyone in anymore.
After the accident, Dr. Drake Barclay threw himself into his obstetrics practice, and uses boxing to keep the demons at bay. A recovering addict, he is barely existing, until he meets the bombshell who pushes all his buttons.
Two people coping with the traumatic scars of their past find an irresistible bond that may just heal them both.
Compulsion
A small tremble ran through her, causing her to shift on my lap. The smell of her arousal tinged the air around us, making it hard to not rip away her clothes and sink inside her. Slowly, our gazes locked, she wound her arms around my neck and brought her mouth to mine. A simple whisper of her lips had me tightening beneath her, and when she darted her tongue into my mouth to stroke my own, I gripped her hips.
“You thought about me all week, like that?” Her hands bunched in my T-shirt, pulling it up over my head.
“No.”
“No?” She stilled, her lower lip sucked between her teeth.
“I told you, I’ve been thinking about you like that for years. Only, it’s better now, because I know what you taste like.”
“Oh.”
“Oh?” Raising one eyebrow, I waited for her to reply.
When she didn’t say anything, I pulled her top from her. “So, I guess the more important question would be: did you think of me like that all week? Did you touch yourself when you remembered what we did?”
“Orion.” She swatted my arm, which only caused her to bounce on my lap. “How did I never notice you were so dirty?”
“You didn’t want to know.” Shifting her onto the couch I settled on my knees beside her and hiked her skirt up her thighs. Red lace that matched her bra swathed her pussy too. Brushing my fingers over the darker lace between her thighs, where her arousal soaked her panties, had her whimpering and stretching her arms up to pull me down to her.
My lips pressed together, one corner of my mouth tugging up playfully; I took the lace between finger and thumb. “Now, about these panties.”
“What about them?” Her hips rose.
“They’re fucking sexy.”
“I like them.” Her fingers wrapped around my wrist, trying to force my fingers closer to where she needed me.
Digging my finger through the lace, I tore them apart. “I like them better now.”
“Orion, for fuck sake. I’m not going to have any panties left if you keep doing that.”
Addiction
The mat moved as he slid into the ring, and I turned to face him. My gut clenched. “I want Tom.”
“Tom’s busy. You got me.” Drake strapped on the pads and held them out at chest height. “Come on, hit me.”
“No.” I nibbled my lip, tearing the skin, and rubbed my tongue over the spot. “I want Tom.”
“You want me.”
I shook my head. “I don’t.”
He cocked his head to the side and raised an eyebrow. “You’re not a good liar.”
I touched the glove to my chin as I glanced at my feet. Even after what had happened, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. He’d been right when he said he’d own me, but it didn’t matter. What we’d begun was over.
“Hit me. Let out your anger.”
I lashed out so fast, I didn’t realize I’d thrown a punch until my fist connected with the pad, and he staggered back a step. Bracing himself, he brought the pads back up. “Again.”
“I can’t.” My arms hung limp at my sides.
“Fine.” He threw the pads down on the mat and came closer. “Then talk to me.”
“There’s nothing to talk about.” I pressed my lips together.
He grabbed me and dragged me into his arms, and I struggled against him. “Let me go.”
“No. Not until you talk to me.”
I stiffened in his arms, hoping he would relax his hold enough so I could get free, but he drew them tighter around me. “Fine. You want me to talk. How about the fact that I haven’t heard from you since that night? Not a phone call, or a text, or anything to see if I was okay.”
He let me go, and I spun on him, jabbing his chest.
“It’s not like that. I’ve come off a thirty-hour shift. I’ve wanted to call you since I left you.”
“You couldn’t have picked up the damn phone and sent me a text? It would have taken ten seconds out of your damn day.” I jabbed him again, and he stepped back, his hands up. Aiming for the pads instead of his chest, I threw another punch. Despite my anger, I didn’t want to hurt him, not physically.
“Yeah, that would have been great. A generic text. Hey, darlin’, last night was fanfuckingtastic. Sorry I fucked up, but I’m sure you’ve got it all under control because that’s who you are.”
I smashed my glove into his hand. “You’re a cock.”
The gym went silent, and I glanced around to see we had an audience. “I don’t want to talk anymore. Leave me alone.”
I bent to slip under the rope, and he grabbed me, locking me against his chest. “Not so fast. I didn’t call you, because I didn’t think it was the kind of conversation that you have over the phone.”
“It’s a pretty easy conversation to have,” I snapped.
“Really? Because it’s going so well, don’t you think?”
I stomped my heel down into his foot, and he let me go with a hiss, but managed to catch my hand before I could get out of the ring. “Listen up, darlin’, before you run out of here with your knickers in a twist. I wanted to talk to you face to face, so I knew you wouldn’t lie to me, and tell me you’re fine when obviously you’re not. I thought –” again his hand went to his hair, “—that it was best to talk about us in person, where you couldn’t shut me out so easily.”
“There is no us.” I swept my hands out in front of me. “There will never be an us.”
Misti Murphy writes about smart, sexy women and the dirty talking alphas that love them. She also enjoys emotionally torturing them. Damaged alphas with a twist are her favorite.
When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying her own happily ever after with her teacher hubby, four hellions, and two fur babies. She has a weakness for chocolate, procaffinating, and stalking Facebook.

Her determination to find Michael before its too late leads her into a dark world where espionage and murder are accepted and expected. Once I was certain Hadeel had chewed and swallowed her food, I offered her some juice. She shook her head and said clearly, No, Mama. Pointing to the rice and pasta mixture, she demanded, I want more of that.
I gave her another spoonful before looking at Krystal, who looked as surprised as I felt. Krystal waited until the toddler had finished chewing and had taken a sip of juice before asking, Hadeel, who is that over there?
After looking across to where Krystal was pointing, she said, Daddy and Hani.
What is Daddy doing?
Feeding the baby, she replied before reaching for the risotto and saying, I want more, Mama.
I gestured to Krystal and asked, Who is this?
Its Kry-stal! Hadeel said then giggled before indicating she wanted more risotto. I gave her another spoonful and asked Krystal to get Michael, who was giving Hani a bottle while talking to a male cousin. I watched as Krystal interrupted the discussion and motioned for Michael to follow her. He walked over with Hani in his arms.
Whats wrong? Michael asked worriedly as he sat on the other side of Hadeels highchair.
Hadeel, tell Daddy what you want.
I want more! she exclaimed and indicated the rice and pasta. I like that.
Michael looked stunned then amused. I recounted the other sentences Hadeel had uttered and wondered aloud how many others she knew and just hadnt shared with us, yet. A few moments later, she dropped the stuffed Winnie the Pooh toy shed been holding and exclaimed, Oh, fuck! Pooh fell down.
I was horrified. Michael exploded with laughter and couldnt seem to stop. Krystal snickered beside me. The relatives in our vicinity asked what was so funny. Michael was laughing so hard he was crying and couldnt catch his breath.
I guess you were right, he said, once hed regained enough control over himself to speak again. I suppose I shouldnt swear in front of the children. He burst out laughing again, saw my expression, and said, Sorry. Its too funny.
It wont be funny when we go to Mommy and Me exercise class and she says that word in front of the other mothers and children, I declared angrily.
Michael got up, came around the highchair, bent down, and kissed me. Depositing Hani into my arms, he turned to Hadeel and said something to her in Arabic. She answered in Arabic. Michael turned to me with a huge grin on his face and said, By Jove, I think shes got it!
My anger dissipated in an instant. Michael seemed exuberant. He looked carefree and totally happy. I caught a glimpse of Al out of the corner of my eye and saw him as he intently watched Michael. He himself was grinning madly, and I knew how happy it made him to see his grandson so relaxed and overjoyed.

.X. Scully loves romance, but she doesn’t write your typical Happily Ever After. Because let’s face it, in the real world, it can sometimes take a lot of angst and pain before you get there. And some of us never do. But since most of us pick up books to escape the real world, her stories don’t lack hot boyfriends and sexy encounters. Neither will she leave you completely heart broken, sobbing into a tub of ice cream. Rest assured you’ll be on a roller coaster, but you’ll be glad you went along for the ride.

“These graphics suck,” George says and I look back at the screen. We’re standing in the middle of the Estate, colorful orbs quivering ahead of us. We each have to choose our starting advantage. Waterfalls shimmer in the distance and the sunlight streams over multicolored stones in the courtyard.
“Amateurs,” Lanyon concurs. “I mean, they couldn’t have five waterfalls?”
“Your ironic wit is mind blowing, but choose your damn orbs,” I tell them. I consider. Magic, defense, offense, stealth, and charisma. I always go for magic as a black mage, but I wonder if a druid needs something else. Screw it. I need charisma in real life, too.
“Charisma?” Lanyon asks. “No one ever picks charisma.”
“We’re a party of a thief, druid, and a bard. We’re screwed regardless.”
“You two underestimate the mighty power of my lute,” George argues.
“Did you start with charisma?” Lanyon asks.
“Hell, no. I have charisma in spades. I started with stealth.”
“Great. A stealthy bard,” I sigh.
“She’s right,” Lanyon concedes. “We’re screwed.”
However, it actually isn’t bad at all at first. We power through the Estate and make it to the Yobanaria Dale with no resurrections and all at level ten. I’m impressed. George hasn’t actually fought anything, but he has some pretty awe-inspiring charm mastery already. I think I might have a serious crush. He seals the deal when he buffs my hailstorm spell without even being asked.
“Can you guys watch El Thiefelo? My mom wants me to eat supper,” Lanyon says.
“Yeah, we’ve got it,” I tell him. “The first boss is in the elven ruins anyway, so we should grind a bit. I think he’s a twelve.”
George and I explore the Dale, taking out bats and Joba spores. It’s fairly quiet, except for when we combo with his charms and my spells and he yells out, “Eat lute, bitch,” but it’s nice. We work well, almost inherently understanding each other. I’ve never been able to play this effectively with anyone. I try not to think about his eyes. Stupid boys, being cute and stuff.
By the time Lanyon comes back, we’re all at level 12, although Lanyon leveled up just by standing by a door while we played. Still, we are ready to take on Balsa the Proud. As a black mage, it took me about nine seconds. Trees don’t like fire. However, druids don’t have the same level of black magic and all elemental magic is weakened by the need to draw from the elements nearby. Sadly, trees seem to avoid storing fire runes in their villages. I expect this to be a little more challenging. It might even take fifteen seconds.
“First boss. Also known as the freebie bitch to sucker the young folks into a false sense of security,” Lanyon announces as he runs into the center of Balsa’s lair. The cinema plays and then, in a moment of pure absurdity, El Thiefelo is squished as Balsa steps on him.
“Can someone revive me?” Lanyon whines.

Dream Cast:
About the Authors:
Sarah Daltry:
Sarah Daltry writes about the regular people who populate our lives. She’s written works in various genres – romance, erotica, fantasy, horror. Genre isn’t as important as telling a story about people and how their lives unfold. Sarah tends to focus on YA/NA characters but she’s been known to shake it up. Most of her stories are about relationships – romantic, familial, friendly – because love and empathy are the foundation of life. It doesn’t matter if the story is set in contemporary NY, historical Britain, or a fantasy world in the future – human beings are most interesting in the ways they interact with others. This is the principle behind all of Sarah’s stories.
She has spent most of her life in school, from her BA and MA in English and writing to teaching both at the high school and college level. She also loves studying art history and really anything because learning is fun.
When Sarah isn’t writing, she tends to waste a lot of time checking Facebook for pictures of cats, shooting virtual zombies, and simply staring out the window.
She has written several books, most notably Bitter Fruits, an urban fantasy in the Eden’s Fall series, and the Flowering series, including Forget Me Not, Lily of the Valley, and Star of Bethlehem.
Pete Clark:
Pete Clark likes writing, animals, potato chips, and cheese. Midnight Riders is his first published novel, although he can also proudly say he finally finished Helix Crashing, the fantasy novel he has been working on for over a decade. In addition, he has written Across the Barren Landscape, a collection of linked Western short stories. He also writes plays, both dramatic and comedic.
When he is not writing, Pete tends to ignore everyone around him and obsess over sports.

Blinding Obsession by Chasity Breeze
Check it out! My friend Chasity Breeze has a new release coming out in just a couple of days!
Synopsis“Blinding Obsession” is the fourth entry of “The Firehouse Diaries”. If you’ve read the others, you know a little about Chris Patterson, but, not enough to alleviate the shock of learning his lifestyle.
Chris is one that loves to be in control…both of his lovers and of his raging desires.
That’s right. He is a Dom. One who has had several submissives in the past.
Control has always come easy for him…
…until he meets Korina Morgan.
Kori first came to Bennett, Colorado for the wedding of her best friend, Rheagan. Rheagan had transferred to Bennett from LA upon receiving a job promotion, bringing Kori’s younger sister, Skye, with her as her assistant.
Skye was the only family Kori had left and couldn’t bear to be away from her, or Rheagan. So, she transferred to Bennett with her job, which, ironically, is a firefighter.
Being partnered with the obnoxious man Kori met at Rhea’s wedding was not a good way to start her new life. Chris Patterson, who portrayed himself as God’s gift to women, pursued her at every turn. She’d sworn off men after her Dominant husband abused her, landing her in the hospital more than once. But, Chris’ machinations turned her blood to molten lava, making it difficult to resist his sinfully delicious temptations.
Will Chris be able to control his raging desire for this red haired beauty? Will he be able to convince her, once she finds out of his ways, to trust him?
Will Kori be strong enough to withstand his kisses? What will she do when she learns he enjoys the very lifestyle she was running from?
Meet the Author
I, Chasity Breeze, am what most people would call outgoing and friendly. A social butterfly? Not really, but I do love to collect friends of all kinds. At the same time, I do like my privacy and a lot of it. In the normal world, people see me as a sweet, innocent and never naughty little house wife and mother. But, people who really know me, know better.
I am married to the most wonderful and sexiest man alive. Brock and I have been married a few years, but we don’t like to count them. Counting just makes you feel old. We like to think we’re still somewhat close to newlyweds. Dating is one of our favorite things to share. Brock never ceases to amaze me with romantic surprises and secret interludes.
We live just West of Fort Worth in Texas, cattle country. We are excited about our future and many more wonderful, but naughty, years together. Brock and I share a love for erotic books and we have our favorite authors to thank for inspiring me to write about our own adventures. Brock is my strong foundation and keeps me going in the right direction, which is a full time job for him. With him by my side, I feel I can do anything.
I started my writing adventure in October, 2012. My writing is in its infancy and I hope to improve it with time. My love for reading has always had me dreaming of becoming a writer, so, here I am…I’ve written a few short stories and I’m always working on another.
When I’m not writing, I am a domestic goddess and the best mom in the world, or so I’ve been told. I love to be with my family, whether it be going on a fun-filled vacation, or just sitting at home, all of us curled on the couch watching movies. I love to be outside in the fresh air, so I sometimes take my dog for a stroll in the park or down the main street in our small hick Texas town, just to get out of the house.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this short story and will read more of my work. Reviews are always welcome.
Remember…a good book can put a smile on your face. A great book can change your outlook on life.
