One of my earliest memories is reading Dr. Seuss to my cat Dusty, our dog Sam, and my teddy bear Mama.

Ever since that tea party, my life has been filled with animals and stories. I've always been fascinated by how animals experience the world.

I kept looking for the novel that would let me truly experience the world as a cat. I never found it.

So I wrote The Wild Side of the Wall: A Cat's Tale of Courage, Kinship, and Joy.
