Book source ~ BBNYA I really wish I had written this review when I finished the story for BBNYA 2024 back in December. Because this many months from reading it I’m only left with impressions. Although, impressions can be a decent review, right? I r" Read more of this review » |

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

Dear D.S,Thank you so much for the friendship request here on Goodreads, and i am so pleased you are an actual author and not a robot!
I do enjoy reading historical fiction and so hope to have chance at some point of discovering your work.
Kind Regards

Thank you for adding me as a friend, David. I didn't care for Dune but it's a classic, I'll admit. I love the quote "that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger" and often use it. I've written a book on my journey with paranoid schizophrenia, not intimating that you read it, but just to say that I was interested in your choice of books.
GREAT QUOTES DAVID! I'm a quotes hound myself! Sorry for delayed reply-yesterday was my print debut of my 1st book, ADVERSITY BUILDS CHARACTER! Life has been nuts the last several days. If you get a chance, check it out on IUniverse - http://bookstore.iuniverse.com/Produc...I'm trying to intiate a speaking tour so I can achieve my goal of helping others as so many have helped me.
Look forward to a growing friendship.
Hi David! Thank you for inviting this author into your circle of friends here on Goodreads. I hope you'll add my novels What Would Nancy Do?, In the Company of Women, The Christmas to Remember and Finding Normal to your to-read list. I look forward to reading your book reviews and recommendations. Happy reading!
Carole wrote: "Hi thanks for the add!Gone with the Wind, an American classic.
The author was supposed to have written it 'to occupy herself when she had a broken leg.'!"
Really? Never knew that!

Its the 'Eye of Horus'- the Ancient Egyptian God of Kingship - they used to paint it on their ships or wear amulets with the design. They believed that while Horus was watching over them nothing bad could happen to them :)
Thanks for connecting. I see you're reading Gone with the Wind. Great novel. I read it years ago. There's so much more in there than the movie.
