Full Moon in Gemini 2025 – and Tarot Readings for Every Zodiac Sign

Full Moon in Gemini 2025 - and Tarot Readings for Every Zodiac Sign

On December 4th at 6:14 PM ET, the Full Moon in Gemini appears. This is a Super Moon, so the effects will be potent. Gemini rules communication, thinking, and learning – what stories or conversations need to be finished before the year ends? Which chapters are you ready to release so you can turn the page? 2025 has brought important, at times difficult, lessons. As you look back, you can get a glimpse of who you were and how you’ve changed. But Full Moons demand a wrap-up. It’s best not to get hung up on old narratives. Take the wisdom forward, but let the rest go.

If your mindset has been stuck in doom mode, it’s easy to blame outside forces. But this lunation sheds light on your responsibility for your stinking thinking. Do you spend too much time on social media? What news do you consume (or let consume you)? Marinate on how you allow your mind to be polluted by opinions, think pieces, endless social media consumption – and make a vow to change your actions/habits. Remember, this is a Super Moon – you can change your mind now. It’s in your hands (Gemini rules hands).

This is also an excellent time to focus on your words. How do you speak to others? What messages do you put out to the world? Whatever you speak has a ripple effect. Change your mind, your words, and you can change the world. That next chapter begins with you. Release this year, give thanks for the lessons, and prepare for a new story in 2026.

Here are some mini Full Moon in Gemini 2025 mini Tarot readings with The Röhrig Tarot!

Full Moon in Gemini 2025 - and Tarot Readings for Every Zodiac Sign

Scorpio: Four of Cups – An opportunity arrives right after you’ve said no. Could this be a yes?

The Hit List – The Eldest Daughter

The Hit List - The Eldest Daughter

I was indulging in a bit of doomscrolling the other day (don’t judge), when I came across a clip of young Italian schoolgirls from the 50s or 60s talking about their plans for the future. Most of them spoke of ending their education soon to help out with the family. Most of the girls who volunteered this information also stated they were the eldest daughters.

I’m the eldest daughter. The second born in a household of four children. While I was encouraged to continue my education (this was the 70s), I was also expected to be a helper.

That meant housework while the others got to play. This might be the subconscious reason I was a messy child – my own passive-aggressive form of rebellion. (Eldest daughters aren’t supposed to get mad, so we show our anger in sneaky ways.)

It also meant helping my siblings with their homework. (I sabotaged them by giving the wrong answers. Hey, if I study hard, they should too.)

Being an eldest daughter meant oppression. My virtue must be protected, and I wasn’t allowed to go out with boys. (I did it on the sly.) That oppression also showed up as my mother laughing with the guidance counselor about my goal of becoming an artist and then signing me up for secretarial classes because that was a “girl job.” (I became a tarot reader, which horrified her so much she would tell people I “worked for a corporation,” which is so not me.)

When I became an adult, I was the one who had to “look out for mom and dad,” which meant bailing them out constantly because they were not responsible people (ironically). I had to handle their money, funerals, and all the stupid dilemmas they got into because I was “the smart one.” (Why do eldest daughters get that label?)

You get the picture. Being an eldest daughter is a drag.

However, many gifts come with this role. I’m independent. Frighteningly so, according to an ex. Because I was a straight-A student (eldest daughters are overachievers), I got away with murder. My parents assumed I was a goody goody (I wasn’t), so they saved the punishment for the siblings, who were more overt in their rebellions. Meanwhile, I was the one they probably should have kept an eye on because I had plenty of bad ideas.

Although I had my own moments of foolishness, I’m extremely responsible. Like, pay my bills early and never bounce a check kind of responsible. I also remember what it was like to be a parentified kid, so I never foisted that on my own children. They were free to be who they needed to be – and they are never expected to “take care of me.” (Lucky ducks!)

Being an eldest daughter wasn’t fun, but it did give me a black belt in self-sufficiency, resilience, and sneakiness. My kids also get the benefits of freedom (buh-bye oppressive crap) while everyone else gets to shove their outdated expectations. Because at the end of the day, I may still be the unofficial Responsible Caregiver Family Person, but I’m also responsible for my happiness. And that’s a responsibility I’m more than happy – and qualified – to take on.

The Hit List – Small businesses I love

The Hit List - Small businesses I love

The other day, I mentioned a small business I love during a livestream. One of the folks in attendance asked if I would compile a list of the small businesses I recommend. Wish granted! These are a few of my absolute faves. (Some are local to my area, while others are not.)

WaxWing – This woman-owned business has some of the best local and handmade gifts.

Whitmark Co – If you love candles, you must check out Whitmark Co! These smell amazing – and are infused with Reiki!

Eye Love Love – Magical sprays for every reason and season.

Totem Flower Essences – I swear by these elixirs!

Paper and Pencil – Chicago’s friendly neighborhood stationery shop. I adore stationery and always visit this place when I’m in the Windy City!

Chase My Creations – I’m a t-shirt gal, and the t-shirts that get the most compliments come from this local biz.

Ascended Gifts – Milwaukee’s best metaphysical store. You can find everything you need in this one-stop ritual shop.

Jay by the Bay – I hop around to different massage therapists but always come back to Jay. He’s the strongest I’ve worked with – and he healed my frozen shoulder!

Good Vibe Cookies – Cookies that look like crystals? YES. These gifts are always a show stopper!

Wish Beads Jewelry. I love gifting folks with these manifestation pieces.

Parlour of Wonders – Madame Pamita has some excellent spell kits. I adore the New Moon series!

McLaughlin and Hayes Millinery – For all you hat lovers these local legends will hook you up!

Archer and Olive – This shop fuels my stationery addiction. OMG!

The Malliway Brothers – If you visit Chicago, go here. It’s a great place for all things witchcraft. The book selection is uh-may-zing!

Matilda Bakehouse – From scratch bakery in the Fox Point area. The chocoholic is my fave.

Little Rooms – I have a bunch of their pieces. Unique, funky, and metaphysical jewelry with a sense of humor.

Evil Pawn Jewelry – Another great jewelry shop. I love their work so hard!

Sphere & Sundry – Magickal oils and potions from Kaitlin Coppock and her husband, astrologer Austin. Everything is ritually crafted.

The holidays are rapidly approaching. Instead of pouring your money into the big box stores or online giants, support mom-and-pop shops and indie business owners. Let’s put our dollar bills where they count!

The Hit List – Talking about the weather

The Hit List - Talking about the weather

This is the time of year when the weather gets unpredictable in these parts. In the past week, the temperatures have swung high and low. We’ve had drizzle, snow, clouds, and soft breezes. While the weather person offers reliable guidance, there is still room for surprises.

The other day, I left the house in a parka because it had been chilly for days. Alas, I soon ditched it because it was warmer than I expected. I hate sweating, so I wasn’t about to suck it up. The forecast was “off.”

Today promises sun and 60 degrees. But as I looked out the window this morning, I’m not so sure. It’s gray. Dingy. The movement of the trees suggests it might be windy. While that doesn’t bother me, it doesn’t inspire me to leave the house.

Although I love to divine the future, there are times when life is unpredictable. The other day, a pipe leaked in my sink, damaging the ceiling of a unit below me. While the wreckage isn’t huge, it’s still a blow to my time and pocketbook. I didn’t see it coming.

Sometimes, it’s like that. We see patterns in the weather, stars, or cards and think we’re prepared. Then we realize we don’t have as much control as we thought. All you can do in those times is grab the umbrella and keep going.

New Moon in Scorpio 2025 – and Tarot Readings for Every Zodiac Sign

New Moon in Scorpio 2025 - and Tarot Readings for Every Zodiac Sign

The New Moon in Scorpio 2025 emerges on November 20th at 1:47 AM ET, a barely-there sliver of light in an inky starlit sky. Although it may be scarcely visible to the human eye, the effects can be felt down to the bone. New Moons offer a pivot, a way out, or a fresh start. In Scorpio, it points to a profound inflection point, that moment where everything transforms. There might be a few upheavals, but overall, these are par for the course. If you want to change your life, you must be willing to release the old one. The Scorpio New Moon is all or nothing – it demands a clean slate.

It’s a stunning lunation for updated budgets, careful investments, and new joint ventures. Don’t like your current financial state of affairs? Use this New Moon to uncover fiscal leaks, foolish extravagances, and unnecessary expenses. Trim the fat! For many folks in the States, insurance is a priority, another Scorpio topic. If you have not spoken to your health insurance agent, this is your cosmic prod to make an appointment. You might find a new strategy before the tax credits expire.

Scorpio is also associated with secrets, mysteries, and all things psychic. This day may bring shocking revelations, juicy gossip, or an unexpected piece of much-needed information. If you encounter closed-mouthed types, your intuition will help to ferret out the dirt. Trust your bullshit detector. It knows what’s up.

And when it comes to intimacy, there is no better New Moon for rebooting a stale romance. Rekindle the flame through quality time, thoughtful gestures, and deep conversations. That last part is made easy due to the Sun conjoining with Mercury at 4:23 AM ET. Keep in mind, Mercury is retrograde. Talk it out, but don’t bring up ancient drama. What’s done is done – this lunation is for a fresh start.

A few hours after the New Moon in Scorpio arrives, Uranus sextiles Neptune, an aspect that happened once before on August 28th and will occur three more times (July 25, 2026, January 15, 2027, June 6, 2027). Uranus wants innovation and change, while Neptune desires creativity and spiritual growth. On the world’s stage, we might see a sliver of hope as a new wave demands revolution. The future is calling – and that begins by disrupting the status quo to make way for a fresh chapter. On a personal level, a surge of brilliant ideas, intuitive hits, or newfound hope could help you find the missing magic you’ve longed for. This makes this New Moon a potent day for setting intentions around transformation. (Learn how to do that with New Moon Astrology by Jan Spiller.)

Lastly, the Scorpio Moon tends to be emotionally volatile. If you feel too moody, try not to take it out on the wrong person. Instead, choose healthy outlets. A good old-fashioned venting session to an understanding ally may be just the thing!

Here are some mini New Moon in Scorpio 2025 tarot readings for each zodiac sign with the Weiser Tarot!

New Moon in Scorpio 2025 - and Tarot Readings for Every Zodiac Sign

Cancer: Seven of Wands reversed – The struggle begins to ease up. Bit by bit, you’re moving past the challenge.

Leo: King of Wands – An opportunity to lead lands in your lap. Take command of the kingdom.

Virgo: Six of Wands – You’re moving toward a victory. Stay the course, collect your reward.

Libra: Page of Pentacles – Concern about money may be top of your mind. Seek new resources, trim the budget.

Scorpio: The Star – A wish materializes. You deserve it!

Sagittarius: Knight of Wands – Be ready to saddle up for a new adventure. Soon, you’ll be off and running!

Capricorn: Nine of Wands – A setback is not the end of the world. Use it to motivate you.

Aquarius: Three of Cups – Party hearty with your crew. A night out restores your mood.

Pisces: The Lovers – You must make a big decision. Your heart will show you the best path. Trust it.

Blessings,

Theresa

The Hit List – Poor things

The Hit List - Poor things

There were times in my life when I was poor. Like broker than the joker. I remember the ache of an empty belly all too well. I also remember working too much, driving a car that required a screwdriver to start, and counting pennies. Crawling my way out of poverty took a lot of effort – and a long time.

Even though those days are well behind me, I still have moments where I have to remind myself that this isn’t the case. A poverty mentality tends to stick, long after circumstances have changed or after all the “manifesting mindset” work has been done. It mostly shows up in my habits.

I don’t think that is necessarily a bad thing.

For example, I live below my means. This allows me to put money aside, but also creates flexibility when the economy takes a dump, as it’s doing at the moment. However, sometimes I have to remind myself that it’s okay to splurge. That’s not easy for me to do (except when it comes to books, my one weakness).

Other habits that stuck:

I don’t care about the latest fashion trends. Instead, I wear my clothes out. Like down to threadbare. There are thirty-year-old t-shirts in my dresser. Not kidding! If it is still in good shape, it stays. I also stick to a “uniform” of black pants and a t-shirt, which eliminates the need to think too hard about what to wear.

Nothing goes to waste. Not food, beauty products, or plastic bags. Everything gets used up. Scraps of food are sent to the compost, which is then turned into soil for a modest garden.

I’ll drive a car “into the ground.” Back in the day, I drove “beaters,” cheap old cars. Eventually, I got a decent car and then moved up to a Toyota Matrix. That car just died, over twenty years later. I’m forced to get a new car, and my goal is to make it the last one (hey, I’m sixty and don’t plan on driving forever!).

I cook at home. This serves three purposes: it saves money, I control the ingredients, and allows for leftovers. It’s not only economical, but better for me. Cooking is a way to get creative and stretch dollars – plus, while restaurants can be a treat, most of the stuff I cook at home is better. Once I learned that most restaurants are supplied by the same distributor (Sysco), that changed my relationship with going out to eat.

Most of my home furnishings are second-hand. I don’t have any shame in the fact that a few items were pulled off the curb and repurposed. For example, I found a beautiful vintage cabinet sitting in the rain. I crammed it into my car, made my daughter sit on my son’s lap, and got it home. We removed the cruddy finish, and it now sits in the entryway of my yoga studio. I couldn’t believe someone threw this perfectly good piece of furniture away.

I still pick up pennies and other coins when I see them. These go into a jar, and when it’s filled, off to the bank to cash them in. It always feels like a jackpot, even if it’s not much.

Lastly, every night and morning, I give thanks. Gratitude has always been my attitude, even in the hardest times. I never take anything for granted, ever. Because even though I’ll probably never make the Forbes list of richest people, I’m okay.

xo

Theresa

PS At the time of this writing, the government is shut down. The people in charge want to deprive people of SNAP benefits in order to eliminate the health care subsidies. Poor people are being punished while they attempt to make health care unaffordable for many. This is unconscionable. No one should have to go without food, shelter, water, or health care – especially in the richest country in the world – period. It’s time to stop treating poor folks as the problem and instead, focus on eliminating poverty. It CAN be done.

The Hit List – Clogged

The Hit List - Clogged

Since the last Mercury retrograde, I’ve felt as if my life has been like a slow drain. Between technology fails, too many responsibilities, and more than a few situations outside of my control (waiting for a new car, the government shutdown, etc.), life has been moving but stagnant. It’s as if everything is clogged.

Don’t get me wrong – plenty of things have been accomplished. I’m on the second draft of my next book, and much-needed renovations are complete. So it’s not like things haven’t been happening – they are. Nonetheless, it feels like the Universe is constipated.

With another Mercury retrograde on the horizon, I wonder if this will persist – or will this mark the end of this sluggishness?

Yesterday, our tenant moved out. I went downstairs to assess the damage. It appears that we now have a new winter renovation project. Sigh. I grabbed my cleaning supplies and incense for some good old-fashioned rage cleaning. As I finished, the bathroom sink clogged. Because of course it did! Double sigh.

Nonetheless, I find that no matter what is happening, I can still focus on the good. There is plenty to find in this beautiful, terrible world. So while I wait for the plumber to unclog the sink, I’ll count my blessings. Sometimes, that’s all you can do – and it’s enough. No matter how clogged life seems, I can keep the gratitude flowing.

Full Moon in Taurus 2025 – and Tarot Readings for Every Zodiac Sign

Full Moon in Taurus 2025 - and Tarot Readings for Each Zodiac Sign

The Full Moon in Taurus 2025 comes in on November 5th at 8:19 AM ET. This Moon orbits closer to Earth, making it a “supermoon” that appears brighter and larger to the eye. Supermoons can feel more impactful, so expect this lunation to have a bit more “oomph.” Because the Moon is exalted in Taurus, the vibe becomes warm, stable, and grounded. In a way, this lunation provides a soft landing after a tumultuous year. It’s a moment to pause, reflect, and find your center.

Taurus is associated with themes of security and comfort. It’s the perfect Full Moon to examine your current financial situation. Do you feel stable? Are there adjustments to make? You might be able to see where you need to change things up in order to gain a sense of control. It’s important not to put your head in the sand, even if your circumstances feel shaky. Instead, use this lunation to shed light on the problems so you can find right action. That might mean an appointment with a financial advisor or a new budget. Because Taurus loves comfort, it may be tempting to spend the day tucked in bed with snacks and a cozy mystery. While there is nothing wrong with that, you’ll want to avoid getting stuck in “comfort zones,” such as holding on to relationships that no longer feel in alignment. After all, Taurus can be stubborn and possessive! Even so, Full Moons are divine timing for endings, which makes this day ideal for a “life declutter.” As you release, you create space for manifesting the things you desire. Trust that process, even if it feels uncomfortable.

This Full Moon is ruled by Venus, which is well-placed in Libra, putting beauty and creativity on full blast. Decorate your nest, toss those ill-fitting pants, or put the finishing touches on that painting you started last year. No matter your situation at the moment, you can create gorgeous living quarters and zhuzh up your look. As I always say, a little red lipstick on the beak is all you need!

A Jupiter-Saturn trine lingers in the background, adding a little good fortune to La Luna. Jupiter opens doors, while Saturn provides the discipline to follow through. This is like the push toward a lucky finish line with a steady, optimistic team behind you. That could manifest as a goal realized or a sense of closure at last. All in all, this day is filled with magical potential. May you find abundance, security, and beauty in this wild, terrible world.

Here are your mini Full Moon in Taurus 2025 Tarot readings with The Tarot Tantra Esoterica!

The Hit List – Take care of each other

The Hit List - Take care of each other

The government shutdown continues. Will it end? I’m afraid the tea leaves, tarot cards, and whatnot have no answers at this time. Which means: we’re rudderless.

Many folks will lose their SNAP benefits. Those of us who pay for private health insurance (freelancers, artists, small business owners) are bracing for massive rate hikes as the Affordable Care Act is on the line – and a bargaining chip in this shutdown. Life is about to get painful.

So what can we do? We have to take care of each other. Here is a list of ideas.

1. Project Mailstorm. I love this! @theshabbycreekcottage shared this on Instagram. Basically, it’s a protest by mail. If we begin to send daily handwritten letters to the government, it becomes much harder to ignore than a phone call or email. Flood the system. Overwhelm them. Let’s do this!
2. Donate to mutual aid. This puts dollars directly in the hands of folks who need help. Mutual Aid Hub can help you find locations in your neighborhood. Can’t find one nearby? Start one. American Friends Service Committee has a helpful post on how to get one started. Read it here. Also, check out this guide from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Mutual Aid 101.
3. Donate time and money to local food banks. I prefer giving money because they can invest in what’s actually needed most. (Here in Milwaukee, Kinship and Hunger Task Force are reliable sources of food for hungry folks.)
4. Contact your local representatives and local anti-hunger organizations. Speak up! Even if this doesn’t affect you, IT DOES. If folks run out of SNAP, you will absorb the loss costs at your local grocery store.
5. Check in on neighbors, especially seniors or families. Do they have enough? Can you bring a meal or a bag of groceries? Does anyone need transportation? Child care? Be a good neighbor!

Let’s be real: this shutdown is cruel. No one should ever have to go hungry. Period. Food, education, shelter, clean water, and health care should all be human rights. But until the government gets with the program, we have to step up and take care of each other. We’re all we’ve got.

The Hit List – The imperfect ancestors

The Hit List - The imperfect ancestors

Halloween and the Day of the Dead are just around the corner. While I never turn down a fun-sized candy bar, I really don’t do much to celebrate either one of these days. Sometimes, I’ll scroll through social media, pausing on images of elaborate costumes. I’m always amazed at the creativity. I’ve never had a knack or patience for any of that, so you won’t find photos of me dressed as Wonder Woman or whatever. It’s not my bag.

The Day of the Dead is an opportunity to honor deceased loved ones. Frankly, I pretty much ignore that day. I’m always impressed by other people’s ancestral altars. Some of them are quite extravagant with flowers, gorgeous cloths, and platefuls of food. The love and care are apparent. I wonder what their relationships with their relatives were like to warrant such devotion.

On my altar, you’ll find a few scant photos, but nothing more. It illustrates the complicated relationships I had with my relatives. Our household was dysfunctional, and although I loved my parents, they did a lot of damage.

So the question I often ask myself is, how do you honor the dead when your ancestors were difficult people? What if you harbor feelings like resentment? Or if you’re relieved you no longer have to deal with their bullshit? How about if you feel indifferent rather than reverent?

I’ve spoken to a few who feel you should still honor them, no matter what. On the other side, things are different. They’re now watching over you. There might be wisdom in that advice. Perhaps it’s okay to show some respect to the imperfect ancestors, even if they showed you something different in real life.

My parents have been gone a long time. They appeared in my dreams on occasion, but that has not happened for a while. I don’t remember the last visit. My dream journal has no record of dream visitation for years. On the rare times I find myself in a church, I always light a candle for them. But I haven’t been in a church in I don’t know how long. Maybe I miss them. Maybe I don’t. I’m not sure how I feel. But I do know if they were still here, I’d care deeply about them, despite the challenges in our relationship.

Perhaps it’s time to set out a plate and invite them back.
