Hi my name is Gavin, I've been interested in pagan and magical symbolism since my teenage years. The first mythic tradition that ignited my imagination was the Norse myths but I soon ran out of material to read and had to start casting my net wider. First I got into Greek star-myths and from there I arrived in ancient Mesopotamia, which I have been avidly researching for the last 10 years or so.
This quest led me to write my first book on the stars and constellations of Babylon calld 'Babylonian Star-lore'.
In the last few years I have become much more focused on Inanna and the goddesses. Although I do read the written myths I have found that ancient art provides an alternative vision of the goddesses - one that only partly chimes with the written accounts. At the end of 2013 I published my second book about the symbolism of the goddesses in the Ancient Near East called 'The Queen of Heaven'.
I live with 120 other misfits, artists, pagans and musicians in a housing co-operative in SE London (UK).
