Let it Snow and Other Exciting News
I finished Ethan and Quinn's story on Monday, time for the read through to fine tooth it. We have a major snow storm going and I just want to sit home under a warm blanket, read and drink hot chocolate!
I don't have a lot of time for reading these days, which makes me sad, but with working full time, three kids, writing a second book and the holidays it is really hard to find time to read. I compensate by reading audiobooks. I love to listen on my way to work and back and I usually try to pick books I normally wouldn't find time to read, i.e. really long books, blockbusters or something new to me. At first I was all about picking out classics, but then I discovered I don't really enjoy them. I'm not ashamed to say I love PNR, Romantic Suspense, Fantasy, YA and Thrillers. I'm going to give a few that I adored and welcome any suggestions!
Harry Potter on audiobook was phenomenal. I fought reading Harry Potter, not my thing, or so I thought! I fell in love with his story.
Fallen/Hush Hush/Red Rising/A Court of Thorns and Roses were all phenomenal as well. I do struggle when a there is a narrator switch in between and A Court of Thorns and Roses did have a new narrator in book three, but I still loved the book.
I have also listened to numerous thrillers. I even listened to the first Miss Pelegrine and the library loan ended with nine minutes left! It was a long wait to get that one back and really drove me a bit crazy, since I want to finish with the audiobook and not go get the book for nine minutes, lol! The third book in Red Rising the last disc wouldn't work and that was horrible! I eventually signed up for Audible to get to listen to it.
