Alex Fan Moniz is a British poet, writer, photographer and lyricist.

Born in Portugal, he has spent his lifetime between the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, South Africa and periods in Romania, Italy, Brazil, Denmark, India, China and other countries. He studied Humanities at the University of London and Coimbra and MA Creative Writing at ARU, Cambridge. He is fluent in several European languages.
In 1992, one of his poems As Cinzas (The Ashes) was selected by the Academia de Coimbra (one of the world's oldest universities) at literary initiative, Indiferença for young creative talents.
Photographic works featured at the annual event Indaba Durban Tourism (South Africa) 2011, ARBI project, The University of Sydney/Sydney Medical School
