Scottish Teenage Book Prize
So it's occurred to me I should maybe be announcing things on Goodreads that, you know, actually relate to my books and such. In light of this epiphany here is a thing I am announcing (a thing I am super excited about and honored and just feeling all the positive emotions):
Children of Icarus has been shortlisted for the Scottish Teenage Book Prize 2018!!! YAY! Excitement!
But really, this is an awesome prize since it's all about reader choice, and the Scottish Book Trust is amazing for putting it off.

BIG NEWS!!!
On February 28th the Scottish Book Trust (tip of the hat to those awesome folks) announced that Children of Icarus is the winner of the 2018 Scottish Teenage Book Prize!!! Hence the big news!!!
I'm so immensely thrilled and so very honoured by this. And I'm incredibly grateful to all the readers - students, teachers, librarians - who took part. I hope you all enjoyed reading the shortlisted books as much as I enjoyed writing Children of Icarus! Also, a huge thanks as always to the Scottish Book Trust, for everything they do for readers and writers. Props to fellow shortlisted authors Elizabeth Laird (Welcome to Nowhere) and Danny Weston (The Haunting of Jessop Rise). I'm humbled to be in such amazing company.
