Tell us about your story in Claiming My ValentineWhat is the title of your story?
Hearts, Flowers, & A Dead Husband
What is your story about?
Olivia Quincy’s dead husband is having a little difficulty letting go. His trusty faerie guide, Keegan, is at her wits end trying to make him realize the importance of helping Olivia move on. When Eliajah, the heir to the FaeShadow Court, sets his sights on Olivia, Adam is more determined than ever to keep his wife. With the future of Faes everywhere in the balance, Eliajah comes to terms with his destiny of being the next Shadow Court King and the importance of claiming his mate. But there are a few problems he must circumvent first. His mate doesn’t know who she really is and her mortal dead husband isn’t quiet ready to let her go.‘Till death do us part’, was only a suggestion, right?
Who is/are the main characters?
Eliajah Kheelan, Fae Prince and the next in line to rule the Shadow Court of the Fae. Olivia Quincy, a coffee/book shop owner struggling to move on with her life after her husband's passing. Adam Quincy, deceased husband of Olivia. Although Adam knows he should help Olivia move on, he can't seem to let her go. And, Keegan Pixie Faerie. Keegan is a friend of Sheridan's from the first volume of Touch of the Irish, and is there to help Adam help Olivia move on and find new love.
How did the story come to you?
I've had the idea for this story for some time. I thought it would be fun to write a story about the ghost husband helping his wife move on and find new love, but isn't all that helpful when he doesn't like any of the men she dates and plays tricks on them. Hearts, Flowers, & A Dead Husband didn't come out as comical as I'd hoped, but that was mainly due to the word count constraints of this anthology. I might go back at some point and lengthen the story, but I'm very pleased with what I have now.
Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn?
Yes, I did have research for this one. The Celtic pantheon is complex and I wanted to work in some new gods and goddesses in this volume of Touch of the Irish. Hearts, Flowers, & A Dead Husband is the first book in a four book volume of Touch of the Irish volume 2; The Lost Princesses. I was able to use quite a bit of my research from volume 1 but with new characters and new situations I was able to bring a lot more of the pantheon into the book. I think readers will like the twists and connections to the Celtic gods.
Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally?
I'd like to think Olivia and I are alike, but really I think she is her own person. If I had to pick a single trait we have in common, I'd have to say we are both determined in everything.
What made you write this character; what made them important to you or made you want to tell their story?
As with all of my characters who end up in a story, Olivia came to me in a dream and told me about herself. Soon after, Adam did and then Eliajah, and of course Keegan has been with for a couple of years. She really wanted to be in Touch of the Irish Volume 1, but there really wasn't a place for her in any of the stories. She did make it on to the video though. haha
Is there anything specific you want readers to know about this piece of work?
Yes! Hearts, Flowers, & A Dead Husband will kick off not only Touch of the Irish Volume 2, but Olivia's Coffee/Book Shop is going to play an important role in the upcoming series Breeds MC. Someone very special to Bear will end up as the new owner.

I mean, what do you ultimately want?I want my life and my wife back. What conflict(s) do you face?I’m dead, for one. Another obstacle is this Fae Prince, Eliajah, who can see me and has power over me. He has prevented several of my attempts to run him off. There is also Olivia's best friend Liz, who you'll need to keep a close eye on. She isn't exact who or what you think she is. Ciaus will no doubt be back, too. Will we see you in upcoming stories? Tell us about your story in Claiming My ValentineWhat is the title of your story? The title of my story is Searching for His Mate.
What is your story about? For Stacia Sagona, it wasn’t easy being the personal assistant to the local bear clan alpha. He was grumpy, hard to work with and he just happened to be her older brother. Tardiness was a pet peeve of his but it was her specialty. What was meant to be a quick run to the bank before going into the office was anything but, thanks to the armed men who stormed into the bank with guns blazing.A hostage situation at the local bank was just what SWAT Officer Izek Compano needed to keep his mind focused. Lately, he has felt such a disconnect from his bear that it has left him puzzled. A man should always be in sync with his bear. Each night his bear would demand to be let out so it could roam for hours in search of something. For what? Izek didn’t have a clue. The bank job revealed the culmination of his search, only to have her snatched from his grasp. It’s a race against time to save the mate who his bear had apparently been searching for…
Who is/are the main characters?Stacia Sagona, the sister to the local bear alpha, and Izek Compano, Captain of the local police department’s SWAT Team. How did the story come to you? This story came to me one day while I was in line at the bank. I have a phobia about going inside of banks and my husband always laughs at me about it. One day, I was in the bank and there was a little old lady taking her sweet time at the counter and while standing in line waiting for my turn, I began to daydream. I thought of writing of a hostage situation and being a paranormal romance author, I just had to throw a little shifter action in it!Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn?I did have to do research for it. I’m sure people would assume that romance authors don’t need to do real research. But let me be the first to tell you that I did have to do research. I know nothing of SWAT teams and wanted to learn a little more about them as I wrote the story. I always want my stories to sound authentic and believable as people read them so Google proves to be real useful. Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally?Stacia and I are similar. We both have large hearts and believe in true love. What made you write this character; what made them important to you or made you want to tell their story? I’ve wanted to do a bear shifter story for a while and Stacia and Izek’s story have been burning in the back of my mind. I just needed to introduce the world to Great Falls, Montana where the bear shifters are hot, sexy and alpha. Is there anything specific you want readers to know about this piece of work?I had so much fun writing this story, that I will visit the town of Great Falls again soon!
MEET MY CHARACTER
(Choose one character from your story to spotlight)What is your name?
My name is Izek Compano. What are you? (Fae, shifter (kind), vampire, etc…)I’m a bear shifter. Can’t you tell by looking at me?!What should we know about you?
I’m the Captain of one of the best SWAT teams in the great state of Montana. We don’t take any shit from bad guys. We good guys always come out on top. For a while, my bear and I have been disconnected. I guy you’ll have to read my story to find out why and if we are able to get back on the same page again. When and where is your story set?I live in Great Falls, Montana and that is where you’ll find me.
What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want?My ultimate goal is for my team to be the best in the country. Love? Maybe that will happen. Some day in the future. But you’ll have to read the story that Ariel Marie has written so that you can find out what goes on. What conflict(s) do you face?I’m a cop. There are plenty of conflicts in my day to day. Pull one from the air and I’ll bet it’s something I’ve dealt with. Not many people will mess with a bear shifter. Even humans keep their distance and try not to get on my bad side. Are there any secondary characters we should keep our eyes on? Who are they? How are they connected with you?Well, now, there are plenty of people to choose from that resides in Great Falls, Montana. Any of my fellow officers or anyone from my clan could be of interest to youWill we see you in upcoming stories? If so, what is the title/series and when?If Ariel Marie comes back to Great Falls, I’m sure she’ll stop and visit me again! You’ll just have to wait and see!

Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally?I relate to Vincent in the fact that I see myself as an outsider as I live outside the norm of society.

Tell us about your story in Claiming My ValentineWhat is the title of your story?
Broken Light
What is your story about?
Still reluctantly holding a candle for Sabine Flemming, the Lightbearer who shared her magic with him, Xander Wulf is determined to leave his past behind once and for all. He decides to take temporary respite with a tribe of humans trying to survive the long, cold winter. There he meets Adelle Poema, a shifter with a mysterious past and a determination to kill the chief’s human son.
Adelle’s broken, or at least that’s what it feels like. She’s lost everything, and her life has become defined by a burning need for revenge. Killing the chief’s son is the only way she can move forward and let go of her past.
Until she meets Xander. Now Adelle must choose … Revenge or love?
Who is/are the main characters?
Xander Wulf is a lone shifter who has a secret, once he swore he wouldn’t reveal to anyone. He figures he’ll spend his life alone, until he meets Adelle, who makes him wonder if he wouldn’t be happier sharing his bed—and his life—after all.
Adelle Poema lost everything and now her only goal in life is to destroy the human who took away her world. When Xander shows up, she thinks she’s found an ally in her quest. She’s not so sure about his idea that they could be compatible in other ways, too.
How did the story come to you?
Broken Light came about after I wrote First Light, the (original) prequel to my Lightbearer series. Xander was the bad guy, yet a potential love interest for the heroine, Sabine. Ultimately, she chose another. Even though he was the antagonist, readers wanted Xander to have a happily ever after, too.
Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn?
I had to do a bunch of historical research, since this book is based in the sixteenth century, in a part of the world that had few human inhabitants, so not much detail on what it was like living there. I had to be careful about wording, too, such as slang and the names for locations like Lake Michigan, North America, and Michigan. I also had to figure out what type of clothing people wore and housing they lived in, specifically in the winter.
Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally?
Well over a year ago, when I first started this book, I might have said no, or at least not anything significant. But since then, I lost my son, and had already written about Adelle losing hers, too. Returning to that storyline was hard, yes, but I knew what I was writing as far as her pain and suffering, and the choices she made as a result, were very, very real.
What made you write this character; what made them important to you or made you want to tell their story?
Xander first entered my subconscious in First Light, the book before this one. I wanted to write a love triangle, but I knew all along the heroine (Sabine) would end up with the other person in the triangle, based on the way I’d already written the rest of the series. And Xander had to at least initially appear to be the bad guy, also because of the way the series was already set up. But he had to be somewhat redeemable, right, or else why would Sabine have considered falling for him, even for a minute? The problem with giving him redeeming qualities was that readers then wanted him to have an HEA too. And I can’t let readers down J.
Is there anything specific you want readers to know about this piece of work?
This is technically a second prequel to my Lightbearer series, although it can be read as a stand alone. Still, I hope readers like it enough to read the rest of the series
MEET MY CHARACTER
(Choose one character from your story to spotlight)What is your name?
Xander Wulf
What are you? (Fae, shifter (kind), vampire, etc…)
I’m a shapeshifter. We can shift into any warm-blooded animal. Oh yeah, and I also possess Lightbearer magic. The only shifter who’s ever been able to say that, by the way.
What should we know about you?
You should know that everybody thought I was the bad guy in my first book, First Light. I suppose the title was deserved, although at the time, I didn’t know any better.
When and where is your story set?My story takes place in the year 1514. I’ve been hanging out on the shores of a great, salt-free lake, on the western side of what in your time would be a state called Michigan.
What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want?Well, the reason I’ve been hanging out near this lake is because I figured out that’s where the Lightbearers disappeared to at the end of First Light. I suppose I wasn’t quite ready to let Sabine go, even though she had clearly moved on with her new mate. And then, at the beginning of Broken Light, I meet this shifter named Adelle, and suddenly my ambitions are changing. Now, I don’t ever think about Sabine, and I can’t get Adelle out of my head.
What conflict(s) do you face? It’s 1514 and I’m a shifter without a pack. There’s always some sort of conflict. Although at the moment, my most pressing conflict seems to be internal. I want Adelle, but she has a few demons she needs to conquer, apparently, before she’ll let me share her blankets.
Are there any secondary characters we should keep our eyes on? Who are they? How are they connected with you? This book is a second prequel to the Lightbearer series, and happens 500 years before the rest of the series picks up. There’s lots of setup for the future, but none of the characters in my book will be alive when you read Into the Light, which is the next book after mine.
Will we see you in upcoming stories? If so, what is the title/series and when?Well, the series is called Lightbearer, and picks up again in the twenty-first century. Since it’s strange enough to have two prequels, I don’t think there’ll be another, so I probably won’t be around again. However, I’m pretty sure the author references my plight in later books, if that helps to keep you reading!
What is the title or working title for this piece?Broken Light

Tell us about your story in Claiming My Valentine
What is the title of your story?
“Sex Slave to My Vampire Billionaire Stepbrothers” by P.Mattern
What is your story about?
It’s about a young woman named Cassie who learns that she is the lone human living in a nest of vampires who are the only family she has ever known and she is in danger from outside forces.
Who is/are the main characters?
Cassie, her mother, her stepfather Renault, her grandmother Baba and her three stepbrothers she grew up with who have since left home: Blake, Alex and Van
How did the story come to you?
On its knees. I initially told it to go away but then it wouldn’t leave and so I caved in and started writing it.
Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn?
Yes because I have only written one MC novel so I had to brush up on bike models and the MC lifestyle. I also looked up the French and Latin terms for the warring vampire clans.
Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally?
Not really. Cassie is naive but smartens up pretty fast and she is a jock and I am WAAAY girly. She loves the outdoors and I am a hothouse flower. We are both smart though(*winks).
What made you write this character; what made them important to you or made you want to tell their story?
I thought it was a fresh take on modern vampire lore. I love fresh twists on iconic themes and characters.
I also had never written a ‘stepbrother’ novel(Cassie’s stepbrothers are not blood relatives, just stepbrothers by her mom’s remarriage!)
Is there anything specific you want readers to know about this piece of work?
Yes as I stated before , Cassie is not blood related to her Stepbrothers so her growing attraction to them is not verboten.
MEET MY CHARACTER
(Choose one character from your story to spotlight)What is your name? Van
What are you? (Fae, shifter (kind), vampire, etc…)
Vampire and a member of the Trillerkillers and the vampire clan ‘Le Guarien Cramoisie’ or the Crimson Guardians.
What should we know about you?
I have always loved Cassie from the time my father and her mother married. She was just a kid then and I loved her as a little sister and beat up anybody that bothered her.
As she grew up, my feelings changed. I always knew one of us(I am one of triplet brothers) would marry her . I wanted her to choose me. But if she didn’t I wanted her to at least marry one of us so we could protect her.
When and where is your story set? It’s set in the American Midwest and West.
What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want?I want to marry Cassie, be her Sire and raise a bunch of dhampirs.
What conflict(s) do you face?I need to keep her safe from our sworn enemies, “Les Chasseurs Blues” or ‘The Blue Hunters’. We are in an unending war with them for territories, oil and fertile human females.I need to convince her to think of me as a mate instead of her big brother. I need her to desire me as much as I desire her. To calm down and stop fighting destiny and trying to run away.
Are there any secondary characters we should keep our eyes on? Who are they? How are they connected with you?Cassie’s mother and grandmother Baba are very important to her, but the bigger issue is that all of us triplet brothers want to settle down with Cassie, so Alex, Blake and I are in competition for her. Putting her needs ahead of ours is going to be tough. The ‘losers’ will just have to suck it up when she finally chooses one of us.
Will we see you in upcoming stories? If so, what is the title/series and when? That remains to be seen. We may have to haunt P.Mattern in her dreams ;)

Tell us about your story in Claiming My Valentine
What is the title of your story?Darkheart’s Valentine
What is your story about?A woman on the run from her murderous husband is saved by an Immortal Enforcer, who is also her fated-mate. After working with the paranormal authorities to shut down a human trafficking ring, she finally finds a new home in Oklahoma. But her bright new future and love interest maybe be lost on the bloody alter of vengeance. Can Tina find the strength to help her man and save their future together?
Who is/are the main characters?Silas Darkheart – A Chickasaw Catamount shifter & Immortal Enforcer.Valentina Moretti – An “Italian Princess” from New Jersey with a strong sense of justice.
How did the story come to you?I don’t really remember. Darkheart’s Valentine is part of a series, The Tulsa Immortals, and I am constantly sketching new characters and possible story lines for the series. Silas and Tina just seemed like they would be a good fit for this anthology project.
Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn?I briefly researched Chickasaw history, myth, lore & religion, Little People myths of various cultures, as well as Zingari(Italian Gypsies) to get a feel for the heritage of the two primary characters.
Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally?I admire Darkheart’s desire to remain true to his heritage and do his part to preserve it, as well as his protective nature that compels him to serve as an Immortal Enforcer with the Twin Ravens MC in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I admire Tina’s willingness to endanger herself to protect others.
What made you write this character; what made them important to you or made you want to tell their story?I was excited to write a tale where the “romance” took place mostly in the form of dreams. It was a new approach for me, and I do have plans to expand the story next year because I really want to explore their dream connection more and magickal world of the Little People that I discovered while writing this story. Is there anything specific you want readers to know about this piece of work?I wrote this story during a difficult time for me, and I hope that people will enjoy it and know that I appreciate their support of the cause. I admire this lovely group of authors who united together to raise money for St. Jude’s. My husband died of cancer in January 2016, so I am always eager to support any cause that fights cancer, and St. Jude’s does a marvelous job helping children and their families facing cancer.
MEET MY CHARACTER
(Choose one character from your story to spotlight)What is your name?

When and where is your story set?Current day – Most of the story takes place in Oklahoma, (Tulsa & Tishomingo especially)
What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want?To honor my ancestors, protect those entrusted to my care and to find The One who completes me.
What conflict(s) do you face? The woman I love is in danger. I have to remove the threat from her life and help her learn to trust in fate… otherwise, our destiny is lost.
Are there any secondary characters we should keep our eyes on? Who are they? How are they connected with you?Tara the sexy little vampire enforcer from the Twin Ravens MC. This snarky, foul-mouthed, sometimes cranky, and always big hearted female has been my best friend for years. Tara also becomes a becomes a good friend to my beloved and rallies the troops when I really need it.

Tell us about your story in Claiming My ValentineWhat is the title of your story? Claiming Cupid
What is your story about?Krissy Kissinger, Fairy Extraordinaire, assistant to the one and only Cupid, must find her boss, save Valentine’s Day and delete the drunk text she sent said God of Love proclaiming her affection – all with a raging hangover and a pack of over-the-hill cherubs.
Who is/are the main characters?Krissy Kissinger, Fairy ExtraordinaireCupidAlbert, Krissy’s flamboyant assistant Aphrodite, Cupid’s overbearing momAres, the God of War and Cupid’s best friend
How did the story come to you?It just came to me when I was asked to be part of this set with these amazing ladies! I write all my stories organically. That is to say, I don’t outline. I have the basic theme and direction of the story in my head and I let the characters run with it LOL.
Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn?Yes, I had to research the pantheon of gods. I reinforced what I already knew – mythological or not – those guys and gals were a mixed bag of nuts but make GREAT characters! Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally?Oh yeah! She is goofy, acts before she thinks and has a wicked sense of humor!
What made you write this character; what made them important to you or made you want to tell their story?I usually write pretty intense, action packed, love stories, so writing this short and fun stories like it, gives me a chance to show my funny side and let the one-liners fly! Is there anything specific you want readers to know about this piece of work?Go into with fun in mind! I want you to laugh and enjoy!
MEET MY CHARACTER(Choose one character from your story to spotlight)What is your name?
Krissy Kissinger
What are you? (Fae, shifter (kind), vampire, etc…)Fairy Extraordinaire
What should we know about you?I am hopelessly in love with my boss, Cupid but scared to death to tell him. When and where is your story set?Present time – Anywhere, USA
What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want?To marry Cupid and live happily ever after – I mean come on, I am the Fairy Extraordinaire
What conflict(s) do you face?Cupid has disappeared. His mother, Aphrodite, is breathing down my neck and the cherubs all have mono.
Are there any secondary characters we should keep our eyes on? Who are they? How are they connected with you?Ares. The God of War claims to need no one but deep down inside, he wants a fairy of his own. Will we see you in upcoming stories? If so, what is the title/series and when? You never know…heeheehee

Who is/are the main characters?Holden and Clara
How did the story come to you? When I was asked to join the anthology, I sat and thoughts for about ten minutes before I answered. Making sure my vault of imagination would come through for me and WHAM! It did. A pretty fantastic shifter love story that has two of my favorite fantastical beings (dragons).
Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn?A little bit, mainly about tattoos and piercings. I learned that there are A LOT more types of piercings than I knew of. lol
Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally? There is a little bit of me in each and every one of my characters. I’ve tried not to do it. But it always ends up just…happening.

Tell us about your story in Claiming My Valentine
What is the story about?
Love Burns is for those readers who enjoy a bit of steam from this side of the bedroom door. A sweet paranormal romance, it takes us on a quick journey with Hy and Brann as they determine what they want from their relationship.--Hyacinth Sieress didn’t want to get burned by another bad relationship, and for a year she had been doing just fine on her own. Maybe her apartment was less than desired and seeing her ex every time he showed up with work for the agency she worked for wasn’t easy, but Hy was determined to be happy. Growing up in foster care, Hy had always been good at putting her best foot forward and making the best of a bad situation, and continued to do so. That was, until she looked up into the deep sea blue eyes of a god. After meeting Brann Drahgue, Hyacinth Sieress’s world was turned on its ear. Nightly dreams of the man and working with him all day long... even the prim and proper Hy was bound to break. Can a dragon claim Hy's heart this Valentine's Day or will love burn her yet again?Who is the main character?Hyacinth Sieress is our female lead. She is searching for happiness, but between losing her parents at a young age and her ex-fiancé, Hy feels a bit burned by love. Brann Drahgue is our male lead, since the story is from Hyacinth’s POV, we only get to see bits and pieces when he interacts with Hy. However, he is a larger than life hunk (from Hy’s persepective). Strong and compassionate, he always seems to catch her at her worst, but is ready to help her overcome any trial.
What inspired this tale? How did the story come to you?I needed a short story for an anthology and didn’t want to use any of my already started series, as they are already plotted out for what books will be next. I love dragons and my readers love dragons, so I decided that it had to have dragons. I wanted it to have a slightly more “contemporary” feel to it than the typical PNR. When creating the Draghue, I looked at a picture that Mr. Reuel drew for me for Valentine’s 2014. I also wanted the dragon to be more humanoid in form. Other than that, I wrote this one by the seat of my pants.
Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn? No. This one was 100% made up in my own imagination.
Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally? All of my characters have some aspect of my personality in them, even the douchebag ex-fiancé. It’s difficult not to include a bit of myself when they are born from my own imagination. My characters help me explore all of my traits, whether they are strengths or weaknesses. If yes, how?My heroine’s tend to be strong, yet timid. Introverts and readers. I follow the old adage, “write what you know.” So, when you read a phrase that makes you go hmmm or you laugh (or not) at a joke… well, let’s just say that you are in a small way meeting me.If no, how do you differ from one another?By the end of my books, the heroine has learned something about herself and becomes stronger and more confident. This is something that I work at each and every day – not always with any success. Learning to except her flaws and fight for what she wants, is a similarity, yet difference between the character and myself. I struggle to trust myself and find that my characters are more confident when I finish than I am.What made you write this character; what made them important to you or made you want to tell their story? In this case, the story grew organically from a small seed of an idea, so I had no real direction that I wanted to go. As the characters in my head made themselves known is when I began to see where they were coming from and where they needed to be. I quickly fell in love with them and their story, which required me strive for the best ending as possible. I had planned for this to be a standalone story; however, I’ve already gotten the 2nd release in this series started in my head.Is there anything you specific want readers to know about this piece of work? This story flowed onto the page, each step I took into this story revealed new and exciting things. For the anthology, I had to reduce the number of words, which meant cutting out sections. I did not plan for this story to be “sweet” but that is how it worked best for the restrictions that I had.
MEET MY CHARACTER
Who are you?
What is your name?Hyacinth Sieress
What should we know about you?I grew up in foster care and from the time I was found until I met Brann Draghue, the only family I ever had was the kind couple of my last foster home and my best friend who was also at the foster home.I work for my boss, Mr. Marc Trollman. He owns a research company that specializes mostly in finding people. Typically it was related to finding long lost relatives. My position is a mesh of personal assistant and office manager, but I also help out the team whenever I can.I consider myself average. Brown hair and a medium complexion, average height, and a few more pounds than I would like. When I’m down and look in the mirror, I think of myself as not only average, but forgettable. My ex certainly forgot about me while screwing the neighbor.I learned early on that it was good to be forgettable in some situations. Not all foster homes are bad, but not all are good either. I always felt disconnected and lonely. The only person I ever let in was my best friend, Sam. Until, my ex… let’s just not go there. It was a mistake and sadly he keeps bouncing back my way like a bad penny.
When and where is your story set?A small mid-western town, close to another small town, so that residents are known to move between the two towns. There’s my job at Trollman’s Investigative Services, Sam’s bookshop / informal arts center – the Daily Vice, Sansota’s Fine Italian, and the Rouge Club. Not too bad for a small community.
What is your personal goal? I mean, what do you ultimately want? What I want is to have a family. The real deal. I want the husband, with the white picket fence, and the 2.5 children. My dream was always to have someone love me and I them. But, that’s not easy when you close everyone out. Just ask Brann, he’ll tell you. He’ll also tell you that we won’t be having a fence – his home is in the middle of a forested area with lots of room to roam. He needs that room for when he needs to stretch his wings. I’m still trying to understand why all statistics tend to have that .5 person. How can you have half a person. Either way, I’m ready to have children whether it’s one or five, I don’t care, just as long as it’s with the right guy. A certain tall and handsome Draghue.
What conflict(s) do you face?Allowing myself to trust. Losing my parents and not knowing why really did a number on me over the years. Add in jumping from one foster home to another, not being able to put down real roots; I simply built walls and kept everyone distanced.
Are there any secondary characters we should keep our eyes on? Who are they?My best friend Sam, she’s going to have her own story coming real soon.
What is their connection to you?Sam is my best friend. She was also in the foster care system and we spent our last four years at the same home. They were good people and meant the world to us. In reality, Sam became my sister, my only family. She knows me too well and calls me on my shit all of the time.
