Indie Author, husband, father, avid reader and lover of books.

Strong, compelling women as many of the main characters is kind of my thing, because let's face it... the whole knight in shining armor cliché has been overdone long enough.

I felt it was long overdue that the girls got the spotlight, and the ones who have stepped forward thus far to have me tell their stories can certainly take care of themselves! They're not standing behind their male counterparts, they're standing beside them... and often a step ahead of them.

I had the privilege of meeting her at a book expo we both attended last November and picked up the book there, which of course I had to get signed, and she was more than happy to do!

That's actually the last book left on my TBR list, so after that, when I'm not working on my own books (I'm working on the fourth and final book in the Tal'Avern fantasy series with the fourth and final book, and then heading back to Angel City to find out what Dani will be up against next with the second book in the Angel series) I've got a few more I want to add.

The Crown of Stones books and Nite Fire by C.L. Schneider.
Jade, Jane, Jill, and the two Norma Jean books (Jewel and Ghost School) by Rose Montague.

Besides those, I keep an eye out for other Indie authors. I try to support my colleagues as much as I can. I like almost every genre, with a few exceptions. It's kind of a double-edged sword, because it gives me a virtually endless selection. But at the same time, there are so many great books out there by Indies that I really need an extra 24hours in every day to give me enough time to devote equal amounts to reading and writing!

Scott A. Borgman Hmm, that's a good question! I've had more than a few times in my life where I would have a dream that at the time was just that... a dream. But then …moreHmm, that's a good question! I've had more than a few times in my life where I would have a dream that at the time was just that... a dream. But then later on, sometimes months later, the exact thing that happened in my dream would actually take place. I would kind of freak out when that dejavu feeling came over me, because I would remember the beginning of the dream but that was all.

I'm sure that kind of thing has happened to most people at least once in their lives... which really makes you wonder how that comes about. It would certainly make for an interesting plot to a book, likely a thriller or maybe even on the horror side. (less)

Dropping Prices

With the cold weather having arrived, the temperature isn't all that's dropped! I've lowered the price of several books for the winter.
There's never been a better time to grab a copy. And who says traveling has to cost you an arm and a leg? You can step into the fantasy world of Tal'Avern with the first book in the series, Province of a Thief, for just $0.99. You'll meet Jaelyth, a master thief wh Read more of this blog post »
