Mike Guest is a writer of mixed affiliations. A Canadian citizen, I have lived in Japan for nearly thirty years, working at a university in the Southwest of the country. I've served as a Visiting Professor at a university in Thailand, and am a frequent traveler, speaker, and man-about East Asia. I consider myself effectively stateless and thus, largely, free. This also means having no Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram presence -- anathema to an author perhaps, but, as I intimated, I dislike affiliations.

I have written a number of academic books, papers and articles but these are surely of little interest to Goodreads readers. I maintain a blog hosted by Language Teaching Professionals (LTP) called 'Methods and Musings' as well as a blog here
